Did you mean New Brunswick? There's no one doing the lapband in NS, only the bypass.... I'm 99% sure of that. That must be what she's on the waiting list. EVERYwhere pays for the bypass.. you just have to wait 7 years for it!

Hey guys! Since the end of the month is approaching, and that'll be the last 6 month anniversaries for us March Bandsters, I just thought i'd check and see how you all are doing. Did you have a personal goal that you wanted to make by the 6 month point? Did you make it? Friday will be my official 6 month Bandiversary, but I weigh in on Wed. My personal goal, which I set when I was first banded, was to be down 65 lbs by 6 months. That worked out to about 2 lbs a week (plus my pre-op diet loss). And I'm happy to annouce I've actually made it. (I know my ticker says 63, but I peeked a few days ago!) I didn't make my 3 month goal, but I got my long overdue 2nd fill about 6 weeks ago, and have lost ALOT since then. It's the only reason I have actually made my goal this time around. My secret goal is to get down to at least 200 (for a total of 84 lbs gone) by Christmas, when I'll be going home. That's about 12 weeks away, and I've got, say... 15 lbs to go! I hope I can do it! How 'bout everyone else?

Cloe... I KNOW! It's crazy! Sooooo... my pal Lauren who has been staying with us for the last month is (finally) about to move into her new apartment... hopefully this week. I was happy...cause, you know... it's a long time to have a 'guest'. Well... a couple friends of ours from Saskatoon, who live out here also, are approaching the end of their contract, and have secured jobs at another studio in Ottawa. These 2 guys live together... in the same building as Dan and I. They have to be out of their apartment on friday. One guy, is going to spend the next week at another friends apartment, then go back to Saskatchewan for a few weeks, until his new job starts. The OTHER guy... well... you see, he's gotten himself a girlfriend in Fredericton. He can't bear to spend his last few weeks (months?) before he moves away without her, so he asked Dan if he could stay with us 'for a little bit'. Dan of course said "sure". After overhearing things, I realized he may not be leaving to Ottawa until Nov/Dec. I made Dan ask him how long he was going to stay with us... he said "maybe a month?" But I don't even know about that.. what's he going to do if he's got another month left before work starts, after he stays with us!? He's not even so much the problem. Him, I could handle for a LITTLE while, but this girlfriend of his... he's either there, or she's here every weekend. I DO NOT like her, at all. I don't want this chick coming and staying in my apartment every (other) weekend! Sooo... when he says "Is it cool if Alissa comes down this weekend?" How do you say NO! or do you? UGGGGG!!!!

Ok... who was it, originally that gave me their email addresses, and I said I'd send requests for them? Cause I did, and you should have got them! They told me they sent them.... is there some way that maybe you're missing the 'invite' emails... maybe they're going to your junk mail? Don't worry anyways... I'm here most of the time, and rarely go to the yahoo groups anymore. I just like the format here better... I like that we can attach pictures... and have little pictures by ours names... and tickers!

I'm all over the place... big plates and small plates. I can never eat all of what's on my plate (any size) anymore... even if I have a small plate, I'll still dish myself out more than I can eat.

Maria, what's a weight loss club? Is it like TOPS? That's a good idea... once I start going to the gym, and my home scale breaks, I won't be buying a new one!!

Hmmm... how can I manipulate him? He's said "I'm gonna eat as much as you do". LOL That didn't last long! And actually... it would be nice going to the gym together, but that's not it. I'm gonna be going to a ladies only gym. He'll probably be going to a co-ed one, but with a friend of his from work. I'll be going with that Lauren girl who's (still) staying with us. She plans to go everyday. I say M,W and F's ! I do have befores and afters I'd like to look at... BUT they're all on my PC, and that's in the 'shop'! I will be taking some 6 month photos next week too.

I wish Mr. Mandi or.... Dandi would alter his eating as well. He says he will, and tries for a little while, but it ain't sticking. Apparently he's joining a gym when I do, so that should help. I feel bad for him, cause his parents give him a hard time when they see him (worrying that he's killing himself, etc, etc), and if he hasn't lost any weight by Christmas, it's gonna happen again. Yeah, I know, that's exactly what I say every time I see it. It's still not registering. I don't see it. Some of my jeans are too big (for the first time EVER) and my neck feels less 'thick'. Hey Yoda... you've been around more often lately... is this for good, or are you just teasing us!?

I didn't know there was a for sure date for it yet. I'd *like* to go... I hope I can. Is it $150 plus hotel? (I imagine, cause that's way too cheap for everything, plus your hotel stay) What if you bring a guest, do they pay $150 too? And $70 for the dinner only?! My god... I couldn't eat $70 worth of anything, no matter HOW "nice" of a place it is! I know you're not the one to be asking... I'm just thinking out loud... I'll have to email them, or ask on the other board.
