Ooooh nooooo! Don't do that! I can't be held responsible if it's horrible!! OK?! Haha, no, no royalties, unfortunetly! Some of my friends from Saskatoon are working (or were, I think that show's done now) on Delilah and Julius (in Halifax)! My avatar, actually my boyfriend did that for me. I don't think I'm a great draw-er, and definitely not compared to him! Thanks for the good vibes! I'll keep ya all updated! Now I have to go... Dan's making me make a birthday and christmas list. Ugg... I'm so bad at that. I really don't want anything. All I have on my list is comfy socks, and perfume. Can you guys think of any thing? Even list things YOU want, and maybe that will give me some ideas of things I might want!

Dawn, what happens to you if you eat too fast, don't chew well enough, or something gets 'stuck'? Or has that just not ever happened? I'm sure we'd all say that we don't eat too fast, chew stuff to death and it still happens sometimes.

What's a Supertramp?! LOL, just kidding, I know who you're talking about! He was a guest on Canadian Idol also, wasn't he? Glad you had a good time

Cloe! You're so ambitious!! Well.. my Xmas goal was to be in ONEderland by then. I really should stick with that. My next milestone would be 100lbs, and that would be 23-ish pounds from now, and that's way too much for me to try to make by Christmas! I'm no Cloe! For now, I'm saying 199 is my Christmas Wish!

I've never had oysters, as in the ones you have to swallow whole... and I guess I never will, now! (no swallowing anything that big whole!) I've always liked smoked oysters, the ones you buy in the cans. My mom and my treat, all the time, was crackers, a squeeze of squeeze cheeze, a little slice of ham, a yum yum pickle slice, and an oyster on top! Mmmmmm... so good. But, I did have mussels this summer in PEI. They were ok... cheap at least! -
Hey Nancy, congrats on your date! Dr. Cobourn, right? I'm sure there are some other Nov/Dec newbies around here in the Canadian area. Maybe lurkers? There's plenty of other people who are fairly new anyways (banded in the last couple months), and more will come along too... so no worries.

Oh dear... what were you going to say when you saw I was only 25?! :omg: haha, really... I make it sound alot more glamourous than it is. I never get to MEET any of the cool people!

Hmm... the show that I worked on last, you could watch, if you APTN (the Aboriginal People's Television Network), is what it airs on. It's called "Wapos Bay". It's on Monday morning (I just discovered it was actually on, so now I'm setting my DVR to record it so I can see my name in the credits!) It's about a little native community in waaaay northern Saskatchewan. There's some cool people doing the voices for some of the characters... Gordon Tootoosis, and Lorne Cardinal (the cop from Corner Gas). What I did... pretty much was listen to the audio, and plan out the mouth shapes that the animators would be using, and the timing they'd need, to make the lip syncs work. If they look like they're actually saying what they should be, that's alllll me! If not... blame the animators for not following my 'dope sheets'! LOL Ummm... another thing... if you ever see this movie [ame=http://www.amazon.ca/A-Fairy-Tale-Christmas/dp/B000HRMCZW/sr=8-3/qid=1162056809/ref=sr_1_3/701-4041457-0577120?ie=UTF8&s=dvd]A Fairy Tale Christmas[/ame]... stay away! Nah... it's not terrible, but not great. It's available on Oct 31, so I know what everyone I know is getting for Xmas! LOL Just to see my name in the credits, again. I don't care if they watch it Hmm... I also did some animation for a show called Stroker and Hoop, which is on the Cartoon Network. Specifically the episode called "The Wrath of Khan'ja". The one I'm working on right now... is still in the really really early stages. I don't think it's known which network is going to buy it. But we're starting a new show, that's apparently going to be A&E's first animated series. Oh yeah, and something, I'm not sure what, for "Just for Laughs". I think I'm going to the optometrist on Wed. So hopefully not too long before I can wear my snazzy new glasses. (and not just like a dork, around the house, with plastic lenses that say "Galleria" across them!) Still no word from the potential side-job. Eeeee..... cross your fingers for me, guys!!

Yeah, that's what I thinking too.... they'd say, "hey your liver's really huge, get that checked out!" at least!

So, if there's not actually food, just food-laced slime, you wouldn't call it a PB?
-
ahhh....I'm sure you'll settle in fine

Good job Dawn!! I'm not sure what I'm at for the month... I'll report later! Restaurant eating... hmm... tricky. Today I went for lunch, cause I reeeeally felt like caesar salad. It was huge, but I ate as much as I could. Verrry slowly. Same as anything else, whilst eating with people I don't want to notice, I'll pick something easy. Salad was pretty easy, so's Soup. I used to be able to get away with the lasagna/caesar combo, but not anymore You could always order an appetizer... something that you know is fairly small. ?

I'm allergic to muscles! -
I actually like wearing glasses. I like that I can 'funk up' my face! LOL I think I need some funk added to my boring face! And I'm too old for a whole bunch of piercings So, guess what?! I just got an email from a place I was doing some work for last year, around this time. They are asking where I am, and if I'd be able to do some work for Season 2 of this animated show (stop motion, like Gumby) that they do. I replied saying that I was in NB now, BUT I was totally down with doing that, provided they were ok with me doing it evenings and weekends. It will be 7 episodes. Last time, it took me about an average of a week per episode, 40 hours a week. I think I would just tell them to pay me $____ x 7 or 8 (maybe I'll try to get 8 out of them, to give me a little leeway) This could be VERY good for me. Not only would it be some money before Christmas, but I could also get that computer I've been drooling over! Actually, I'd NEED to get the computer beforehand, to work on, so... I may have to do some parent begging. Eeeee! I hope he says yes! I'm scared, cause I think they might not want to have people from out of province, cause I think they get some kind of provincial funding that encourages hiring within SK. BUT... I think they think what I do is very specialized, so they may think they NEED me! Ha! I hope so!

Actually, I'm going cheap on the frames

Hey sweetviolet! and StephC! Are you guys Canadian? Where from and who banded you or are you going to be banded by? Steph, I do ok with spicey stuff too.

Probably when I was about 5. Just kidding. No, I seriously have no idea. I don't even remember being below 230... so this is all exciting for me! I stayed away from scales for a good chunk of my life. I remember weighing something like 110 when I was 11, and lying to my friend telling her I was 89 (for some reason ).

Sorry about your crappy day, Wheezy. Here's wishing you a better one tomorrow!!!

Hmm... I've had corn, and it's been ok. I actually had something tonight with cherries (I won't tell what, cause you guys will DIE!).. and I thought the skins might be a problem, but nope. Soo... to cook a steak in a slow cooker, you'd want it to be in some kind of liquid, right? What would you use?

'night Yoda! And yes... I agree. Too much has to do with food! It IS maddening!!!! I'm curious. I don't/haven't ever HAD to PB. I discovered I could do it (or what I think is it)... and it truly IS a productive burp. Its like I make myself burp, but a little differently than I normally would, and stuff comes up. I've never HAD to, but I feel like I should, and its worse waiting it out, but I can, if I try/need to. What do you guys define as a PB? I always thought that it was us 'expelling' the offending food. But almost never has there actually been food in what I burp up. It's just slime. Food-tinted and maybe a little mushed food, but not actually distinguishable 'offending' pieces. (like something that you would think would be the cause of the problem) Sorry.. it's gross, but I'd like to know

I forgot to tell you guys this: Another step in the New Mandi Project - new glasses! I was at Walmart the other day, and whilst waiting for my bud to pay for her Halloween supplies, I wandered into the optical area of Walmart. I tried on a few frames... found one I really liked, saw the price (supa-cheap), and asked if I could buy them. Just the frames though. He wanted to give me the grungy 'demo' pair, but I asked if they could get me some brand new ones. They came in today, I picked them up, and I'm very excited. The ones I have now are black, but I have problems with them. I feel like I need to dye my hair really dark to 'pull them off'.. or else they're too overwhelming for my face. I dunno. These new ones are brown. More rectangular than my current ones. Now I need to make an appointment to go to the optometrist. Apparently there's one nearby who will bill my insurance (instead of making me pay, and then me sending a claim in to get my money back). They'll cover my eye exam, and $150 for new glasses. I figure, I can probably get "ok" lenses for $150, don't you think? I keep thinking, I wear these things all day, everyday, so I shouldn't cheap out on them. BUT, then again, my last ones were $70 frames from Costco, and they've served me well for about 2 years. I'm not really even paying for these, so... ehh.. I won't worry about it. I shall post pictures. Maybe some comparison before and after glasses pics!

Guess who's pre-cooking some meat for a yummy stew tomorrow??! MEEE! Potatoes, meat, carrots, mushrooms... and corn! CORN!? Dan's making me put it in. Yuck. Can anyone tell me, can you cook something like steaks in a slow cooker? What if... you cooked a steak, all day, in what you would normally use to marinade it?
