I think the actual fill experience seemed pretty typical, so I woulnd't worry... just the way he went about it doesn't! For one, I'd tell the TLBC that he said there was only 5cc's in there, and how about emailing or calling Dr. Cobourn and telling him how his 'associate' reflects poorly on him.
-
Wow... that sounds awful! What was his name? I could just go check the list, but I'm lazy. Really though... UGG! I can't imagine. Is this guy at all associated with the TLBC, or is he one of the Cobourn trainees?

That's weird... and what *I* thought... that PETITE pants were for, like, 5'0"'s! I'd also like to add, that I think I almost got dirty looks when I walked into Penningtons, from my fellow shoppers. Then I panicked a little when I thought of having to shop in a regular store. I hope I somehow slide into a size that's not quite THE biggest in regular stores.... ya know? Oh, woe is me. :faint:
-
What concert? Have fun!
-
Hmm.... that's weird, Clo-bee... I do not know. Ok, so... my name is Mandi. I have a problem. I'm enjoying buying stuff way too much. I went to Pennington's again, cause I wanted one more, maybe 2 of these bustier type bras, cause I'm in love with the one I bought a couple weeks ago. They're already half price, and now their having a buy one, get the 2nd 40% off sale right now. Grabbed 2 bras, one in my current size, and one a little smaller. "Hey, I should try ANOTHER size 16 jeans on.", I think. Go look in the sale rack, find some for $24.99. Then I grab some 18's, just in case. (they're actually the EXACT same ones I have, but in a size 26!) Once again, I think, "no way are these coming up", BUT THEY DO! I continually amaze myself. Now, like the other ones.... I just don't feel very comfortable in them. I MIGHT be able to be ok wearing them with a hoody. But... I got them, cause I WILL fit in them, SOON! And besides, I'm a shorty (who woulda though 5'6" was short?), and they're too long. This time I bring them to someone to shorten 'em, I'm making sure she has thread that MATCHES! That's my confession.

Ditto... it'll happen. I promise

Yes... I think the amount of working out they do is INSANE.. I go to the gym, and I originally would have said i HATE it, but now I only 90% HATE it. I have seen those updates too... and how much they continue to lose AFTER they go home. That Marty guy last night looked GREAT, even before he went home! I told Dan, "That guy weighs 5 pounds less that you (273), and if he looks that good, THAT big, imagine what you could look like as long as you keep working out." I think he was a little inspired by watching that... so that's good. I find myself seeing these gals do their weigh-ins, and realize I weigh LESS than them for once (well, some of 'em). Before, when I watched, there were NEVER girls over 250lbs. (at least not that I saw). I can't be as avid of a watcher, because I believe it clashes with LOST. But now that LOST is off until Feb. I can watch the rest of the Biggest Loser. Cloe, step away from the Mcflurry's! You're halfway there!? That's awesome... still about 6 weeks... you'll make it! The not smoking.... ehh.... it's ok. I'm surviving. I still think I shouldn't be left alone, because when I am, I think "I should run to the store, buy some smokes, and no one would know!!!". Last night going to the gym was the first time I HAVE been alone, and I definitely toyed with the idea. But I won't. I really want this to be it. I don't want to be a smoker anymore. I don't want to worry about stinking when I come inside. (probably tacked on an extra 100 cals a day with all the mints I sucked!) I also don't want to spend the money anymore. Now only if I could bring myself to put that money aside. It's funny... you can always find the money to buy another pack, but when it comes to putting it 'away', it's soooo hard!!

Wheezy... yes, that would be really frustrating. I feel so special, that *I* saw you on your surgery day! If nothing else... it's been 3 months since surgery, for you... and 18lbs. That's an average of 1.5lbs. I know it was all in the first couple weeks, but, if you think of it that way... you ARE on track. :straight

Please don't tell me it's PB!? LOL -
I not only will send you ALLL postcards, but invitations to join me!! Except Yoda. (that's for my grandma!) Just kidding... you can have one too, I GUESS. It will be fabulous, when it happens. I don't know what I could make my new Xmas goal. My next milestone after getting out of the 200's was to make it to 184 (which would be 100lbs lost) But that's 17lbs from now, and 5 weeks + 2 days (til I go home). That's WAAAAAY too much for me to get my hopes up for. I dunno... what's a significant # inbetween 199 and 184? How about I aim for 194 and pray for more, by Xmas? If things go well, and I really think I can do it, I'll work my ass off to make that 184, but... for now, my new Xmas goal is 194. But for now, I'm just crossing my fingers to see a 1 as the first number on the scale! I was all ready, with a camera out this morning. (side note, I forgot to tell ya... I tried on some jeans at Old Navy this weekend, and a sweater and shirt {you'll see pictures when I get to the 100's!}... I tried on the jeans just for the hell of it. Size 16's... and not in a plus size store, even thought I'm sure they consider them that. I went to pull them up, and was SURE they wouldn't... but they DID! They're quit 'fitted', and I'm a little scared to wear them to work... but they fit, and they're not tight. I went and paid for them, and they came up as $9.99... I thought "What the hell?!" but kept my mouth shut! I came back the next day, searched for other jeans, but I couldn't find ANY in any sizes bigger than 10, so I bought a size 18 of the EXACT same size 16 jeans I got. They're a little less scary for me to wear... and at least I'll have the 16's when I'm ready for 'em! And all for $9.99 each! Just thought last night, that I should have bought one of the same jeans, in every size on the way down... and 18, 16, 14, 12, 10, and dare I dream, even lower!?)

Welcome Dame! Where are you from? Let us know how the meeting goes, and if you have any questions! Mandi
-
ok, so you say up until the morning of surgery... what were you at surgery!? C'mon green... if you can't tell US, who can you tell? :peep:
-
OOOooooh.... yeah. I forgot that was you. You are incredibly strong to be able to NOT weigh yourself, or to not run to the store and buy one. Am I correct... you don't even know how much you weigh, right? (you never looked when they weighed you, and asked not to be told?) How are things feeling, clothes getting bigger? Did you do measurements?

Adjustment Doctors in Canada-Current list
argon replied to mookie1's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I meant that he will never be available for OTHER people. (like how you could go and get a fill from 99% of other lapband surgeons/fill dr's on that list... none of us {who are not his patients} can go see Dr. Beausoleil. ** apparently except the rare, odd person he decides to allow) -
Yoda: :peep: Wheezy:  LOL Anyways, it wasn't the AMAZING news I was hoping for, but it's still awesome. 201 this morning. I saw a glimpse of my future in the 100's, the other day, and jumped the gun. Perhaps I'll be smart and stay off the scale til NEXT wed. Ehh.... who am I kidding? I've got no self control. :|
-
They'll probably say 6 weeks... I believe that's what I was told. I waited until I was scab-less... just to be sure. (not for a hot tub, just a bathtub!)

Is the Opti-Fast the worst part? - Please?
argon replied to Taymac's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I'm PM'ing you! p.s. yes, for me, the Optifast was THE worst part! -
Haha.... if that's what I gotta do for a sniff, OK! :peep: LOL No, I think I'm back to 'normal' now. I had a pretty decent size bowl of Soup for dinner. Hmmm... maybe you should give that fill a 2nd thought. And you're half full!
-
You callin' my gramma a liar?
-
Hmmm... good question. I'm not sure. Maybe they start selecting people right away? I dunno... this is 2nd hand news, from my mom, from my grandma. I bet my cousin applied, had an interview, and is in the 'pool' of possible contestants. (from what I understand, that's how it goes). Thanks for ruining it, Yoda. LOL just kidding
-
Something else.... I found out last night, that my 2nd cousin is going to be on Deal or No Deal (the Canadian edition, coming up next year, I think). How cool is that!? I made Dan apply to be on it, and I'm working on my application. Who else wants in? You have until the 17th to do it! https://www.canada.com/globaltv/dondcasting/application.html

Yoda's Jedi Journals (aka Yoda's Yammerin's)

Oh dear, Yoda.... I know the rubber duckies you speak of... LOL! Sorry about your tire ordeal. You should see the problems I've had trying to get snow tires. I've brought my car into Canadian Tire twice, with an appointment, and dropped my car off, to come back and pick it up, and be told they couldn't do it. First time was because the tires wouldn't fit. 2nd time was because they wanted me to get 4, I only wanted (read:can afford) 2. So..... I've found somewhere that has the right tires... in my excitement, I forgot to ask if they've got a PROBLEM installing only 2. I don't think they will, because I told them that's how many I wanted ordered in. Cross your fingers for me! I'm waiting for the call that I can come get them installed! You wouldn't believe how expensive 17" tires are! The cheapest I could find were $200 each. Anyways, yes... Mexico. I'd love to go too... if you're not just being sarcastic saying you're going to run away from our winter and go to Mexico, Lila, tell more!
