that really sucks about the Elmo's... are they those crazy TMX Elmos?! I've heard about 'em. Maybe your insurance would give you enough to go find some on ebay!? I see...body heat, eh? You need a fireplace!

I now stay far, far, away from tequila! I used to bring a baggie full of lemon slices and a salt shaker to parties. :omg:

I don't even know what an Orillia is, so...

Wow, Yoda, that's awesome! I'd love to try something on in a store like that. Mind if I ask what size of pants you're wearing? (other than a XL) What number does that equal? Just wanna make sure I don't even ATTEMPT to try on clothes there until I'm well below that size, to avoid disappointment! -
Can you get those in Canada? :phanvan

I think it's WAY too early to be calling yourself a slow loser, Tonia. It's only been 5 weeks!! Especially if you lost that weight SINCE surgery, that's not bad AT ALL! Give it time
-
Exactly, it's about healing right now. You wanna know if you can eat (drink, technically) more, right? I'm not going to tell you what to do, but what *I* did, was eat as much as I needed to to be comfortably full, within reason. I don't even know if my post-op diet specified amounts... if they did, I didn't follow them (or maybe I did, without realizing it)

Yoda - the air mattress died. Luckily it had only been 80 some days since we got it (this is our 2nd one), and I was able to return it. I used the money from it and bought Xmas decoration (including that poinsetta)... and now we're sleeping on the futon that our last house guest left behind. It's not AWFUL... but I'd like a bigger bed. This is like, double or something. I need at least a queen!! Anyways, unfortunetly, it's in our 'office', and it's too big to move into our bedroom without disassembling it. I'll make Dan do it someday soon. Cloe, Wheezy, Mookie - thank you thank you thank you LOL mookie. Thanks! Never done Jager shots. Heard they taste like black licorice, and of that I am not a fan! I never did Jager shots, cause I heard it tastes like black licorice. I threw up in my mouth just thinking about it!
-
Wowee Wheezy... that really sucks! How did you keep warm with no heat? (just waiting for someone to make a crack about me probably not knowing that there used to be no TV's, or something like that )

Yoda, you and I can spiritually be the same age! (let's be 26!) hehe

Hmmm... I don't think it's your band. You're waiting for the results, checking for gallstones and IBS, right? Give your Dr. a call tomorrow morning and tell them you need to figure this out, cause it's getting problematic. If you're in alot of pain, and worried, do what you have to, even if that means going to the ER. But hopefully they'll have the results soon.

If you wanna be super cute, call 'em ginchies! Cloe - guys are oblivious.

I have some up! I don't know if we're gonna get a tree though. I did get a poinsetta (sp?). I feel so adult. I think the Christmas decorations (inside) and music shouldn't be taken out til Dec 1st! I can see outside lights, cause no one wants to be doing that when it's -40, so I'll allow it. I just made myself a Boney M cd, and am crankin' it!!

Ummm.... how about opening your 'recycle bin' on your desktop, and check if they are in there. If they are, I think you should just be able to right-click on them and select 'restore' (or something like that), and they should go back to where they were saved before. If not, I have no idea.... they aren't still in your camera, or are they automatically deleted when you put them on your computer?

whoops, sorry... I thought I was 15 again!

That's great news, Yoda. Both things! -
do i need a better doctor or a new health care?
argon replied to andreerichards1's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I would call one of the Alberta Dr's or even Alberta health, and ask them... maybe Alberta Health would be a better idea. You could ask them to fax you something stating that Alberta does indeed cover the lapband. This should be easy enough for Yukon health to find out, but I'm sure they're not in any hurry to give you money. I applaud you for trying so hard. I did the same thing, harassed many people, and in the end realized it was not a battle I'd soon win (this was with Sask Health). Good luck! -
Sorry about your mama, neenagh... I hope she's feeling better soon! And yeah, your sister... forget it. Could it be that you're getting to look better than HER, and she can't stand it!?

ditto... I bought some ginch from Walmart the other day, I thought they were cute, and I was so happy to buy it 'off the hanger' (you know, they stuff they have crammed onto hooks, and sometimes you see the odd ones that are actually nice/cute), and not be a 1X, 2X or 3X. It's an XL, and this morning when I went to put 'em on, they looked so small, I didn't think they'd fit. But they did. Same thing with pants... it's weird. I'm still wearing some underwear that's 2X or 3X... sexy, eh? I'm sure Dan loves it. Especially when I pull 'em up over my boobs and make a strapless bodysuit! Haha, I do that with my surgery sweatpants, and freak him out!

I was just reading someone's post about how she doesn't have any friends, cause she lost them all due to her not wanting to ever go out and be seen, all fat, and wearing yucky clothes. Then I remembered that that's what I did. I don't know, maybe I'd still be doing it, if I knew people around here.... people who I don't regularily see, and might be surprised to see 'what I've become'. I've stayed away and avoided the hell out of old friends, and family members, because I didn't want them to see me. I'd get so stressed when I'd find out family was coming to town, and find any excuse to not be there for it.... and seeing former school-mates anywhere... I'd turn and walk the other way. Now, I'm still thinking it, but right now, because I don't want them to see me YET. That's the good thing about living so far away and not being able to see anyone for so long. I think I forgot to tell you guys this... when we went to Halifax, we stayed with a friend of ours from Saskatoon. I haven't seen him since either Jan or May (can't remember if it was when Dan left, or came back to visit) We arrived, and he met us outside, to guide us in his car to where we were supposed to park. He and Dan took his car, and me and Lauren took mine. Dan later told me that this guy, Sean, said to Dan that he saw us walking up to his door and didn't even recognize me, and that I was looking really good. That was nice to hear. But isn't is INSANE that even after something like that, that I wouldn't REALLY believe it?! I mean, he said it to Dan... it's not like he said it to me, and I can think "Oh, he's just trying to be nice." He said nothing about it to me... we're just not that kind of friends. It's 2 am... gotta get up in 5 hours. AHH!! Why can't I sleep?!

Yeah, I've been staying away from gum all together since banding, for that same reason... i'm really bad for swallowing gum. I've always done it. So.... I always keep mints on hand. Works for me. And Randi, you're probably swallowing alot of air while chewing, and that's what's causing you problems.... switch to mints!
-
haha, no... I missed out on that! Not where I'm from... but a couple hours away. I saw that on the news last night! And you guys, stop... you're making me blush :phanvan

Me too, I'm gonna vow to be less scared of cameras!

haha, I hope I have good stories to tell!
