Oh my goodness... how quickly we forget!! Still another week left, guys! How are we doing? If tomorrow goes well, I JUST might be able to make my goal! (to have lost 100 pound-er-oos)

yellow polka dot bikini... (I continue to amaze you, don't I!?)

Yes pleeeeeeease! I have old T3's and some liquid tylenol with codeine (a HUGE bottle, Mookie, you musta went through it FAST!).. doesn't do a thing for me. I wonder if they'd prescribe me something (anything! preferably not T3's)...

well, it's definitely not a 4cc band. Must be a 10cc one, (but there are 11cc's also, aren't there?)... why not give them a call or email, and just ask??

Thanks buds :huggie:! Man.. there's so many new posts everyday, I don't have time to read and respond to them all! Weigh-in tomorrow... I'm feelin' a little budge on the scale! I've also got an appointment with pain tomorrow morning. 9:00am dentist appointment. Haven't had a filling since before I lost all my baby teeth. I've also got to have a wisdom tooth removed at the same time. Luckily it's broken the skin, so it'll be 'easy'... yeesh.. yeah right. I think I'll hold off on the 'normo' stores... I just can't do it. I have to wait ALOT longer! Old Navy's as 'normo' as I'll go. The XXL's fit me, and I got me some size 14 corduroys at Christmas! I don't believe Old Navy stuff though.. I think their sizes are way off. Anyways... hi to everyone I haven't gotten to respond to their threads. I'll try to catch up! Wish me luck tomorrow :rose: Mandi

oh you!! you know... 7 months ago you were 347! Be happy with 264 :huggie: Well, I hope this TINY fill does what you want!! Be sure they just give you that little!
-
so, what would they do different for a FULL body lift, as opposed to a lower?
-
uugggggg! Yeah! Tylenol is grooooss. (btw, you can buy 'junior strength' chewable tylenol, which is 160mg (children's is only 80mg, and extra strength {adult} is 500mg)... so you only need to take about 3 to equal 1 extra strength. Plus, they taste good!)

woot woot! that's fantastic! Yay for eating! -
AND... I don't think I even told you about this. At least a month ago, I was at Pennington's, and came across a pair of jeans that were SUPER on sale, realized they were exactly the same as the biggest jeans I have (size 26), but in size 16. So I bought 'em... put them on, then put my old ones on. :omg:

Ok, it's time for me to embarass myself with some pictures. Who's ready?! Here's Dan and I, Christmas '05 and Christmas '06. I know you guys saw the most recent one, but this is just a comparison. Now for the risque ones! OOoooohhhhh... what an outfit! Sorry to ya dial-up people... hope they aren't too big!

Not weird at ALLLL! You're doing awesome. It'll fly by!

You work in which business? That's pretty much what I was thinking... what Yoda said. I don't think I would want it every time, but it would be reassuring to see that things were where they should be. And I'd absolutely want to have it done if I had the experience Yoda has had with her fills! My last one took (what felt like) 15-30 minutes, and I thought I was gonna freak/die/pass out.... can't imagine 2 hours. I don't think marking the skin where the port is, is a sure fire way. My 2 fills were about an inch apart. I'm willing to bet next time I go, the point where they put the needle in, and actually hit the port will be even further off than the first time. Cloe, didn't he 'tattoo' you where your port was? And yes... I know that some places ONLY use flouro, like Dr. Beausoleil, whom I think we were taking about on this thread earlier. Which is odd, cause he's not even the one who 'does' the fill. Apparently it's the radiologist who does it. Seems to me that if they were to do the 'easy' ones 'freehand' they'd have time to give people such as myself fills. Probably cause it's a publicly funded thing that they do things like that. I'm sure as more and more people get banded in NB, they'll realize that it's not always necessary, and start training people to do fills, without flouro. (and I really think there are worse things for me to worry about that being X-rayed for a couple of minutes... a few times. I say, drinking whiskey from a tin can, while smoking in front of the microwave. LOL, just kidding... you know I quit smoking! )

ahh! I was gonna say keloid, but got sidetracked! I was also going to ask if it was hypertrophic, maybe? (hey Wheezy! )
-
thanks and yes, Yoda, you're fabulous! We know it, and we know YOU do!!

Cloe, if I'm able to afford it, or at least swing it somehow, I think I would definitely do it. I don't know how different a full body lift is from a lower body lift, but that's what *I* was thinking of and had looked into a little in the past. Also, depending on how much more boobage I lose, I'd like to breast LIFT, with the possibility of a small implant (but then again, that's depending on how much more boob I lose!) I haven't got a clue how much things like this cost in Canada, but I'm imagining they're pretty steep. Perhaps we could go to Mexico together and get some work done !?

*cough, cough* this is the make Mandi feel better thread!

no one wants to see Dr. Cobourn video!? Wow... I don't think my thread has been on the 2nd page since I started it. I had a crappy day today. Could barely eat anything. We went for dinner, because Dan had a free 'individual pizza/pop' coupon for Boston Pizza. I didn't know what to have, because NOTHING was staying down. (think it started with trying to swallow a tylenol when I first woke up) I started with hot chocolate, and after I was almost done, thought it had been a big mistake. Then my french onion soup came... I ate around all the bread and cheese.... then POOF, things were good. I ate almost all my soup, and was ready for more. Pretty proud of myself. Anyways.... the thing I wanted to say was: there was this girl in a booth across from us. I watched her a bit, and told Dan, that when we left, to check her out, and tell me if that was about the size I was. Cause I thought it was... or at least pretty close. When he saw her, he asked if I was kidding. I said no. He said that she was about the size I was six months ago. How screwed up AM I!? I went to Pennington's again today in search of my most favorite bra, in a smaller size. Didn't get a hello, or anything from any of the sales ladies. It's really weird... I feel shunned there, and have the last few times I was there. Then I go into a couple 'normal' stores, and feel the same thing there. I haven't TRIED on anything in any of the normal stores, cause I know I won't fit anything there. Can't win either way.

How about something like Overeaters Anonymous? I'd think about it if there were meetings nearby me. I looked and there are some in Victoria, several days a week. If you go here : http://www.oa.org , you can look it where and when, in your city.

haha... I would bring a top, unless you WANT to walk out shirtless! They just want to make sure you're not planning on walking out wearing jeans or something binding like that. I went out and bought some super comfy sweat pants. You can wear out, whatever shirt you wear in.... might as well just wear your comfy clothes in! My surgery was at about 10am, and I left at about 1. It really depends on how you feel. They won't kick you out. You might be in recovery for 1 hour... or 4.

how long would someone be off work?
argon replied to andreerichards1's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Yeah, you're definitely not gonna be allowed to lift 50lbs for quite a while. I think I was told not to do more tha 10-15lbs for at least 6 weeks. I'd look into getting at LEAST that much time off, IF you can't get reassigned to lighter duties until you're able to do your old job. -
How else would you get home? You can't drive your self!
