Oh you guys... I knew I could count on ya! Yasmina: actually, it didn't really. I've had worse. You're a freak. What made you ask that? (and how did you know?!)(I had that about 6 years ago) Cloe actually noticed the 'dent' where it used to be.. did she tell?! Do you guys talk about me?! So, I went to the gym today. Ahhhh.. I hate it. I went to bed last night at 11, but didn't fall asleep until 2:30am. It was rough. I can manage 5 hours sleep, but i HATE the not being able to fall asleep. Oh yeah, the gym... GUESS WHAT!!!!??? I RAN! I haven't run, by choice since probably 1996. I also switched my workout, so that I do my weights/abs first, and then the treadmill. I felt comfortable... no one was around to see me.. so I started running for 2 minutes.... walked for 1, ran for 1 more... then walked the rest. It's huge for me. The gym lady wanted to switch my routine, but I asked if it could wait til NEXT wednesday, when I'll be down 100lbs, and have my measurements and body fat taken that day too! (I didn't tell her about the 100lbs, but I'm dying to).

Thanks guys... I'll do it next week

You musn't (?) have crossed your fingers. Only 0.2lbs ... no goal made this month.

Ahhhh.. no. I thought when she said "post-op" she meant for the rest of your life, after surgery. But if she meant during the post-op diet, that would make more sense... because that stuff is clear... ahhh... yes, I get it now. I do have some unflavoured "Unjury" Protein powder.. I don't know if it would be clear dissolved in juice or whatever, cause I only had it in milk. They say you can put it in warm liquids like Soup or coffee.. but I've yet to try that. Anyways, yeah, ISOPURE sounds good... I just wish there was a GNC near me. Are they pre-mixed drinks? Do they TASTE like Gatorade? How pricey is pricey?

Interesting... thank you guys! I'm gonna switch it up and start hitting the treadmill AFTER everything else. I don't do it for very long anyways, so it would be best because of that, for sure.

Just so you know, there are quite a few different surgeons in Toronto and area, and I checked this out to be certain, but neither Dr. Cobourn or Mumford were trained by any Mexican Dr's... but lapband surgeons from Florida and Australia (as well as by Allergan/Inamed, the company who manufactures the bands they use).

thanks Astro. :nervous

Mookie! Get rid of that disclaimer! 20lbs lost is 20lbs lost, no matter what. If we were going like that... I wouldn't reeeeally be at 99lbs. I take what I can get! (and so should you, who cares how you got it... Optifast is more hard than anything else!)

wowee Yoda... I hope you get better soon! So, you're actually vomitting, with acid an all?! Astrotoes: I don't think they'd be more aggressive with fills just because you're flying to TO from the Maritimes. My first fill was as much as everyone gets, my last fill was the typical amount also, but ended up being a bit too much. I'd already begged Dr. Beausoleil (i'm sure you know, the moncton lapband guy) to help me out, so I couldn't go to him. That lady wasn't doing fills/defills yet, so I couldn't even go to Halifax (area) for that. It was rough. You don't want to be too tight. You'll kinda know what you need, or what seems like too much... I think. Yoda, you're not trying to eat solids, are you? I hope not!! You know you're getting rid of the tightness, take it easy on yourself until you do... you don't want them to take the whole fill out if they figure you're too irritated. -
Woo Woo Maria!! Cross your fingers for me for tomorrow morning!

(not weird, green... it would be interesting.. and maybe an ego boost to do well!) Ok guys. I have a secret. It's something I haven't wanted to mention here, because I didn't want to be judged. I think you guys know me well enough, and hopefully won't think I'm weird, or whatever because of this. Last summer, a week before I moved to NB, I got a piercing. It was something I had wanted for quite a while. I got it at the spur of the moment, I wanted to surprise Dan... just did it. I wasn't quite ready for it. Luckily, and kind of unfortunetly, it's something quite easy to hide, and that's what I've been doing with it, 95% of the time. I got my septum pierced. What the heck is that, some of you are thinking... right? The best way to describe it is one of the reasons I'm scared to show it. You know 'bull-rings'? Right in the middle of the nose, not the nostrils.. inbetween. My biggest fear is that someone would say something like "How fitting... a cow with the bull-ring", or something to that extent. That's what stopped me from getting it in the first place, all this time. I didn't want to get it 'fat'. I just haven't gotten to the point YET where I feel like I could get away with it, and not be scared of that. I know it's stupid (and I'm sure some of you think I AM stupid for getting/having it). It's tiny... probably barely noticable, and the kind of ring I have at most would make it look like I have little tiny silver snot balls on the inner edge of each nostril (3mm balls, to be exact). So that's it. Just getting that out there. Maybe telling you guys is the first step to me ultimately walking into work in my silvery nosed glory. uhh... I also have big holes in my ears. :phanvan I'm weighing myself tomorrow morning... be gentle to me... I think it might be rough! This is not me... I wish. I think she looks good. She's got one... this is 'roughly' what it looks like. (except a different 'type' of ring)

I don't think you NEED your Dr's approval anyways. It's just a health 'check'... did he check everything else he was supposed to? I can't remember, do you get the form or whatever back, or does your Dr. send it in himself? I'm sure Dr. C can do some sweet talking.
-
Awwww.... what?! Man, every freakin' time I went to the Dr. my blood pressure was high... cause I was FREAKED every time I went! Call Dr. Cobourn and ask what he thinks... maybe he can call your Dr. Go to the Dr. again tomorrow and check it again!
-
good luck neenagh, I hope a defill solves it. And hopefully its not a complete defill.
-
Astrotoes, you'll do great... I am! And I'm sure that is it... the move. I've never even had to leave a message... someone's always answered, so I'm sure something's going on. Gaffer: do you KNOW for sure that you'll get that much back from AHC? What about the amount you'll get back when you do your income tax? That will be a good chunk... at least it will be for me.
-
Just so you know, you can have any Protein Drink you want after surgery! If you find one you can stand, whether it's cheap or expensive, hold on to it!
-
Oh, ok... I thought she wouldn't get how you can eat so little, blah, blah... I got it now. When are you gonna get the defill? (if she's coming tomorrow, how will you swing it?) She'll think you turned into some dainty little lady, eatin' like you do! And thank you... workin' on hittin' that 100. Not counting on it being this week though!! haha

Doesn't she go to the hospital? Tough luck, greeny! Good job, Yoda. I'm sure it'll help alot. And I'm sure you'll feel totally fine the couple days before your defill and have to cancel it. to you too. -
OOooooh no, neenagh. I hope it's just too much irritation and you need a break. Even hope for a defill to 'rest' for a while, cause you don't wanna deal with slips! Let us know what happens!!!
-
That'd just be an extra needle! You don't need it. It's not bad.
-
yeah, how'd it go? What's it for? (I mean, give me the name, address and your work hours so I can visit/stalk you at work. LOL No, just interested in what you do!!)
-
Oh good gawd, Cloe! TOOOOooooooo much! If you are too tight, don't wait it out! What?! They like even numbers all of a sudden?! Easier to right a 2 than 1.8, I guess! Geeesh. HUGI - congrats! neenagh - I forgot what I was going to say green - I'd think about a fill! I haven't had a burger since banding either. I've tried, but a maybe 2 bites, and it's over awwwww.... I miss 'em. I think about trying again sometimes.
-
I think she's one of those blonds who thinks she's a redhead.. strawberry blond?! psssssshh... gimme a break! LOL
-
Is it that much more expensive? $999 (US) for the base model, which includes the computer, monitor, keyboard and mouse? I guess you can get cheapo computers nowadays, but this bad boy will last you years, and you'll still use it for more and more years, when you upgrade to the next better one!

When's your mom coming? Does she know about your band? And yes!!! Get that defill! I just 'de-check' the "show your signature" box sometimes.
