I ate taco bell pinto's and cheese from about 10days post op...I called the Dr and he said it was okay...He also said it would be good protein. The first time I ate them all I could eat was about 1/2 of the taco bell serving..but they were oh so yummmmmyyy...

    Is this good weight loss??

40 pounds is wonderful and you have to remember that EVERYONE is DIFFERENT!!! My Dr fusses if we lose too much between visits..he says 2-3 pounds a week TOPS..anything more is unhealthy!!! Keep up the good work and dont get discouraged...remember you did this for YOU and not for the folks next door or down the street...trying to keep up with the "jones" gets everyone in trouble!!!

    Fill 4 Weeks Out?

I was banded on May 14th and I will have my first fill on June 10th...My Dr says he does a small fill on the 4th week because that week seems to be the hardest on us banders! He did say that If I decided not to have it then, then its okay!!! I can wait...If I dont think I need it...

need a fill dr in s.w. louisiana or east texas

I know of 2 in the Monroe/Calhoun LA ( Northeast Louisiana) area..Dr Walter Sartor(Louisiana Weight Loss Clinic) and Rita Zuber..Dr Sartor did my band and after 3 fills with him (b/c included in what I paid) I will use Rita Zuber...she's banded herself and I think alittle cheaper!!!

Weigh in... how much have u lost?

I was banded May 14 ( no preop diet) and and of yesterday I am down 22lbs...and I hope everyone knows that most of what we have lost is Water weight!!! so it SHOULD slow down some!!! I hate to be a "Sore Loser" LOL...but I just dont want everyone to get discouraged when their weight loss slows down!!! Mr Dr doesnt require much of any diet...if I cant tolerate it I can eat it...(except for the first 2 days post op)... I ate 1/2 hamburger pattie 5 days post op...they just tell me to chew chew chew!!!! I have had NO effects of anything...I know that will all change once I have my first fill or two!!! My first fill is scheduled @ about 4 weeks post op june 10 ( I think) I am scared to death Does it hurt? can anyone else not feel their port! I dont have a clue where it is... And to Miss Meliss: I am glad I went back to work because I stepped on the scale EVERYTIME I walked by it!!! I was amazed how my weight staggered up and down thru out the day!!! But since I went back to work things are MUCH better...LOL

    Tricare problems

I have tricare...I paid $250 copay for the hospital and $4,550 to my surgeon. But tricare is reimbursing me $3,500 for that. I also paid $245 for my first initial Dr visit and I got $137 of that back...My Dr was out of network so they had to write my up as self pay and then Tricare did my reinbursments...I didnt have any problems...they approved me in 2 days and I had my surgery the next week....
