I've been a big girl most or all of my life. I wasn't happy for years. I wanted to have the lapband surgery since i was maybe 24 years, old but i was in a relationship with a
guy who felt it wasn't a good idea. After several years of still thinking about having the surgery I made up my mind to do it. My relationship with my boyfriend was coming
to an end. When my relationship with my boyfriend ended and a few months later i went for my 3 consult with my doctor. I kept hearing about the doctor who performed
my surgery on the radio.November 2009 I went to his office and never looked back. I started my pre-op consult with all of the team then started my diet. By the end of
Feb, 2010 I lost 30lb. Two weeks before my surgery I only told my mother I decided to have this surgery. I asked her not to talk to anyone about my decision. The night
before my surgery I called a old friend from high school to drive me and my mother to the outpatient clinic for my surgery. (She drove 3hrs from out of town to support
me) On March 27,2010 I had my band. The surgery  was a life changing experience for me.
