Hi I’ve had my sleeve for a few weeks now, and I was a low BMI patient (33.6) when I went under. So my weight loss journey will be fairly quick. I’d like to know how others are going with their maintenance diets. I entered my stats into a calorie burn calculator using my goal weight (85kg) and my daily calories are 2,000 per day. I’m 99 kg now and losing weight quickly. I can’t see myself being able to consume that many calories. Has anyone had problems maintaining weight?

I’m starving already and the liquids aren’t really cutting it. There’s so much conflicting info around what to eat, even in my own stuff I got from the surgeon. Has anyone gone straight to soft foods? I’ve had yoghurt, chicken soup with bits and all went down okay.

I’m feeling quite good actually, very surprised. I’ve been out of the house most of yesterday and today. Everyone at home is kinda looking at me funny, like I should be more sick or something.

I still haven’t been for a seat on the toilet..... probably should’ve happened by now

Thanks Marisol, I did have a lot of trouble the day after with pain and water. My nurse was quite forceful that I had 120ml (4oz??) per hour, so I think pushing through the pain maybe helped? I also had plenty of anti nausea meds to help.
