I was scheduled for the gastric sleeve surgery in 2017 but I backed out the last minute. I was scared of the surgery and the huge commitment to changing my life. I gave it one more go on my own and lost about 30 pounds. After a year I said enough is enough and called to resume the process. I was lucky enough that my insurance approved me with only a couple more months of nutritionist appointments, and I had my surgery on August 29th, 2018 at Kent Hospital with Dr Giovanni.
