What is a typical amount of weight loss?

Many thanks, very helpful. I’m told the sleeve is much More effective than the band. I lost the majority of my weight with the band within six months. So if it’s true that the sleeve is stronger I’m hoping to achieve similar results. I know from my history that when I make dramatic changes the weigh literally just falls right off. Thanks again for your help. -
Hello all...I am scheduled for sleeve surgery in early October, liquid diet starts soon I was wondering what is a typical amount of monthly weight loss? I had the band put in back in 2011 and frankly I forget how long it took for me to lose the 70 pounds I lost. If memory serves me most of it came off in the first few months. Btw...I’m a male, 49, 6’3.

I met with my surgeon a few months ago for a lap band adjustment. We were talking about how the band just didn’t work anymore and he asked if I would be interested in the sleeve. After discussing it with him I began the process that day. -
I just joined this site today. I’m 49/male, 6’3”, and had lap band surgery in 2011...starting weight was 305 and I got down to 233 in probably 6 months. Over the years the band stopped working, just didn’t feel enough restriction. And I put all the weight back on over the course of four years (2014 to present). My biggest mistake was relying pretty much 100% on the science and not making enough behavioral changes (I made a few early on but it was not nearly enough). I’m scheduled for sleeve surgery on 10/9 and I’m excited to have it done. Of course my goal is to learn from my mistake and make the necessary behavioral and dietary changes this time. I want to get down to 210 which was my weight at one point in college. Any and all tips and advice are welcome and I’m proud to be here with all of you.

I’m scheduled for sleeve surgery on 10/9. I currently have a lap band so will have that removed at the same time. I did the 2 week liquid diet 7 years ago when I had the lap band operation. I tried the liquid diet again a few weeks ago and I went crazy! Any tips, advice on what protein shake to drink?
