I know 1.5 pounds in a week is healthy. Since when did we do "healthy"?? Is being healthy required?? I'm going to have a lot more work to do if I'm supposed to be healthy! Hey, I do have one cheery thought. If I lose 20 more pounds. I will have lost the following titles: Morbidly Obese. Obese. Overweight. I will, according to the Centers for Disease Control, become..... NORMAL I've also figured out that since my "highest" ever weight, I've lost... drumroll.... 108 pounds! I only don't count it because I had a slow downward trend for a bout 6 months before coming here
  5. I very much agree. The hurt suffered here though is much the same as if someone had walked up to that young woman and whispered "I'm glad you have cancer." and turned to the husband and said "I hope you think you've done enough to support her, because I think you haven't". Perhaps that was a sort of re-hash, I apologize if it was. I just want to make it clear that being spiteful isn't good. You can disagree, dislike and ignore anyone you wish. To be vicious and spiteful just isn't good for anyone.
  6. I fully hope that differences can be settled or ignored. Taking the relaxed approach and just blowing insults off is an easy thing to say, but it is trully more difficult to do. We can hope though that things calm down, and remain calm - at least for a while. :scalesno:
  7. Because human beings don't get along. And as for Tired Old Man - I've debated with you on at least one occasion and found the debate enjoyable. I've no problem with your approach or your stance even if it is contrary to mine :scalesno:

  12. I guess after giving this some rational thought I have a few things to add. I love a heated discussion. I enjoy people's passion and opinions. I don't enjoy targetted barbs and insults. I also don't respond to them even though it does become difficult to show restraint. I have acknowledged some time ago that such things can only degenerate into a quagmire of hurt. For the people who throw the insults, they hurt themselves more than they hurt the target. Nurturing hatred in your heart and soul is going to be hurtful only to yourselves. It is possible to dislike, ignore and debate with people, without hating. I am by nature aggressive, as has been pointed out. I am opinionated also. Very few would even blame me if I did throw an abject fit of rage but I have elected to take other approaches and to deal with situations in a matter of fact manner. There is only one way to win a vicious and insulting argument. Don't take part.

You can't kill a thread with boobs. You can perhaps wound it, but never kill it. Odd things indeed are boobs. It is somewhat strange that male nipples are legal but female nipples are illegal (in public). Even more strange is the male fixation on boobs. I guess it stems from being a baby with two boobs the size of your head on 24/7 beck and call. and just so I can say it one more time. Boobs.

    Hello Idaho Folks

Hey there Cheryl :scalesno: The wife and I have been pretty busy recently so we missed the last two support groups. Dr. Cahn is a fabulous doctor and he just wants the best for you. Congratulations on losing the 25 pounds and I have every faith that you will charge on and hit the goal. We ARE worth saving. Every one of us! We may well make the Septermber group, I think it helps us keep focused on the commitment even if the group has caused frustration in the past. Charge on and keep being a loser!

I'm also requesting this stop. This is a thread for dedicated individuals commited to a common goal. If you wish to cause this thread to be locked noone is going to appreciate it. Please allow the members of this club to enjoy the friendship and support without dragging it into a pointless argument. I'm also making this clear, for the members of the club. If we become involved in this we will cause our own thread to be locked. Let's just move on to support and let the moderators worry about the less supportive aspects that have wandered into our thread.

I don't think the wife would like me 'handling' that type of job. I can suggest a self help treatment though. Cheap and Easy. simply fashion a new bra from duct tape. You can sculpt, adjust and give all the lift you could ever want! I don't know if it would be safe for beach wear though.

    Whats for Dinner?

Is that clam chowder AND ice cream, or Clam Chowder flavor ice cream? If it's the latter, food manufacturing has definately taken a turn for the bizarre. I approve. And as it turned out - it was store bought chicken and coleslaw tonight.

It was hot, hot enough to roast a cat. Dawg eyed "Just" Paul's dream about detectives and an expression of suspicion flashed across his dour face. "Thought you could pull the old 'detective dream' to kill the thread eh?". Dawg cackled insanely, "we'll see about that". Grabbing his keyboard set to work typing feverishly. Too feverishly.
  24. When I get home from the dentist (and after I finish the work I have to do), I will walk on the treadmill for at least 1 mile (I honestly question if I can do more). I am on bottle 4 of water. I will get suitable protein intake today (64g so far). I with you guys. Time to focus.
