  1. I keep my bottle by the stove so each night when I’m cooking dinner I see it and take them :)
  2. Does anyone have a Protein Shake and a Protein Bar in one day? Coming off my first stall and I’m trying to schedule my small meals every 2 - 3 hrs .... and just wondering what everyone else eats. I’m almost 7 weeks post op and my food looks like this: Green tea Protein shake - 30g Light string cheese or egg - 7 g Tuna / turkey chomp - 10 / 17 g soft veggies Protein and veggies sugar free popsicle / SF jello  Drink water / vitamin zero / etc all day And that’s about it gang. All approved on my plan. Thoughts? Kind ones of course :)
  3. Well I’m down but it’s slow moving, so just continuing to track my protein, drink my water, and I bought a new scale in case my old one was lying 😜
  4. Woohoo!!! That’s amazing!!!! Congrats!!!!! How often were you weighing yourself??? And how long was your stall???? I’m in the middle of my first one :( but woop for you 🎉🎉🎉
  5. I am right there with you! 6 weeks post op tomorrow, up 2 lbs to 217 from my lowest 215, yet I’m doing everything I’m supposed too! So I keep reading everyone’s encouraging words, keep on the path to health, and hopefully the stall will pass quickly. Oh and I started cardio yesterday cause I’d really like to kick this stall in the teeth 😜 Hang in there!
  6. For the first time since surgery I went to the gym today. Cardio only and not for very long, BUT I did it‼️

Post op pain - be honest

No pain meds here, and I really didn’t have pain per say, it was just more of uncomfortable for awhile.
  8. 5 days of not losing, I’d say week 5 is my first official stall. Is it weird that I’m already wondering if I’m going to fall or if my sleeve isn’t working? Granted I did lose a good amount already but it’s a little scary that I just stopped losing 😭
  9. After an emotional week, hit my first stall as well as constipation :( so stocked up on MOM, miralax, and am continuing to just follow the plan. Hoping that I’ll be like all of the veterans who says stalls are normal and will pass. However it’s a little hard not to be disappointed after losing so much weight so quickly :/
  10. Sadly, I puked quite a few times between weeks 3 and 4. For me there were a couple reasons: 1) my meds needed to be adjusted sooner than my one month visit 2) I was not hydrated enough 3) I was eating / drinking too fast. It sucked. Literally. However I can say I’m doing much much better now that I’m in Week 5. Hang in there!
  11. Tomorrow will be five weeks post op and tomorrow will also be my husband’s 9th angel day. He was 40 when he passed away. We had just had our third daughter, who was 3 weeks old. It’s the first time I’ve mourned his death with no comfort food, and I believe it’ll be my first weigh in where I haven’t lost a single ounce. I knew that I gained my weight due to my loss and my new found habit of emotional eating, but I guess I didn’t realize how the true emotions must have been masked with food as I seem to be more grief struck than I have been in quite sometime. I seem to be constipated with the increase of protein. I noticed I seem to be grazing higher fat foods the past few days and am pissed at myself for not stopping this behavior sooner! I’m scared this means I’m going to fail. I want to pick myself up, shake off, and kick tomorrow in the teeth! I guess I just needed to vent 🤮 #wordvomit
  12. I’m almost five weeks out and I’m having the first ‘down’ moments. I made a bariatric recipe for dinner and had the smallest portion and yet I puked it right up 🤮 I’m tired of not eating. I’m tired of chest pain. I’m tired of throwing up. I want coffee ☕️ I’m tired of not being able to chug water for heavens sake‼️ agh .... I think I’m pushing myself and just need to go back to the basics. I just want to be on the other side of this, but I know I have to do the work. 😭😭😭

Today is the Day. 3 hours left

    Good luck 🙌🏆👍🏻
  14. I went cold turkey on the caffeine but my nut said to add some green tea for n/v so I only have occasionally at this point. Just wondering if people added daily caffeine back in or if that was always a no?
  15. Ok folks so I out coffee when I started my pre-op. I have green tea occasionally for nausea. However what does the WLS family think about coffee vs tea?

    Vomitting

Hi there! I actually just started to weigh out my foods and your right; I was probably eating more than I should have. Hopefully this will decrease the vomiting ;)

    Vomitting

4.5 weeks post op and I’ve thrown up since moving to soft foods a few times. But a) I can always tie it to something b) I’m learning to eat slower c) I have a very sensitive stomach these days. So I’m taking it extremely slow, introducing new foods one at a time, and learning when to stop eating. It’s a learning curve and this too shall pass.
  18. I month check in today and .... was taken off THREE medications and cut in HALF THREE more ‼️‼️‼️‼️🏆🏅🙌

    Hospital Packing

I brought my fav sweats and tank to sleep in. Thick’s socks to wear. My own blanket. And of course charger cord & chapstick that has already been mentioned ;)
  20. Tomorrow will be exactly 4 weeks for me, sleeved 8.8.18‼️ I have ran the gamut of emotions, exhaustion, vomiting, and I’m constantly learning. It’s all new, to each and every one of us. No sleeve journey is exactly the same. Each body tolerates, heals, and flows differently. I try to just stay in the moment. Relax about the future. Enjoy the moment I’m in. Research. Learn. Take some advice. Throw others out. 😜 I wish you the best in your journey.
  21. Girl, I think I’m becoming a cheese’oholic 🧀🧀🧀🧀
  22. Sending them up 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
  23. Yayayayaya ‼️‼️‼️‼️ thank you ‼️‼️‼️
  24. And for heaven’s sake how do I reply to a specific post????
  25. Almost four weeks post op, everything is going well. But I’m wondering how often are others throwing up? For me, it seems to happen on a regular basis .... sometimes new foods, if I drink too soon after eating, and if I eat past a certain point. All teaching me what my new body can and can not handle. But is this normal?!
