    Protein Intake!!

I am on the last few days of my 2 week mushie period. My first fill is Monday, June 9th. (yeah!) Anyway, here is a sample menu that makes it easy to get the Protein in, but it may take a few days on mushies before you can hold it all: Protein Max Powder mixed with 1 c. skim milk = 32 grams protein (the chocolate is declicious) I would have this for Breakfast, and you've got half your protein. You can find at GNC stores Lunch: 1 can tuna or chicken pureed with non-fat mayo = 30 grams protein. Also can add some vegies pureed Then dinner, you can have cottage cheese, with fruit. I still have to work at getting my fruit and veggies and dairy in, but that shake really helps with protein. Good luck - you can do it!

    Mushies Stage Recipes

For something a little sweet, I sprinkle a little cinammon and a packet of sweetner with my cottage cheese, put it back into the fridge for a while and then eat. It's a nice difference.

Why did you get the band?

I started with a BMI of 32 and desperately wanted the band because my weight has gone up and down for all of my adult life. My most recent successes have been with diet pills, which act as an appetite suppresent, but when I stopped them, I would gain the weight back. I feel like I can do it with some help, and this sounds like the help I need. So, I'm very happy (and a little nervous) about my decision. By the way, can anyone help me learn to create a new post? I've never done it, just replied. Cannot figure it out! Thanks

    Ate Too Much

Hey Cher, I'm in so. cal. too, same age, and will be banded next week! I don't think you should worry about stretching out your stomach after just feeling that full for the first time. I think it would take repeated overeating to stretch it permanently. I think you just have to learn from your experience, so next time you know what your body can handle. It sounds like you're being really careful, so don't worry - you're doing great!
