5 hours ago, jaymmee said:TraviMac can I ask what types of things they ask without getting personal? Like are they asking questions geared towards our health and diet wellness or digging up past crap? I just wonder if it’s like standard type of questions for this surgery or if it’s like a general everything questions. Hopefully I’m making sense.
Questions are only about weight loss and reasons for surgery and expectations after surgery.

Please ignore the grammar police!! That was a rude comment. AchievesGoals should worry about their manners.

70 here. Wish I had done this when I was 60, I also had many nay sayers but I knew I needed to get healthier and breath easier. I had lost weight in the past, so I know I can do it, but now I have a tool to keep it off.

At 2 months out I tried 8oz of weak coffee mixed with 11 oz premier vanilla shake I felt more energy and it help with Constipation. I gradually moved up to 8 oz of reg strength in 5.5 oz Protein Shake. and I drink 2 cups every morning. I'm now at 10 months out and sometimes I drink a regular cup of coffee with non dairy Creamer, but I still try to drink 2 premier shakes every day to make sure I get in my Proteins I'm at my goal (135 lbs), down 61 lbs and I want to make sure I eat enough vegetables and fruits so I have hard time eating proteins. shake with frozen fruit in blender. Shakes are so sweet that I started mixing then with fruits or unsweeted Decaf tea at a couple of months out. My surgeons PA has always said to try a small amount of something and see how you feel.I've learned pretty quickly what my body doesn't like. This forum has really helped a lot.

My surgery was 8/1/2018 I also he'd a hernia repair and every time I drank Water the pain went across my chest at the level of my ribs.I was only able to take sips every 5 mins. It lasted about 6-8 weeks but each week the pain was less. I still get a pain if I drink to soon after eating, they said to wait a half hour after eating to drink anything, I find 45 mins to be better.

on 8/1/2018 I had gastric sleeve surgery. I'm down 48 pounds. I did not exercise for the first 2 months it was too hot out and to be honest I didn't want to. Now I walk 3 -4 times a week and loss between 1/2 lb and 1 1/2 lbs weekly It is slow but I just turned 70 and feel great. So happy I did this after a year of procrastination.

For the first 2 1/2 months I could only drink small sips of Water every 10 mins. Now I'm at 3 months and I can drink water a little quicker, but I'm still not able to drink a full 8 ounces at once.

I had my surgery on August 1, 2018. I'm trying different solid foods as per doctors instructions. I'm only able to eat one ounce of Protein for a meal, then I'm too full to eat any vegetables. I drink my 50 to 60 grams of protein in my shakes everyday. Does anyone know how many small meals a day I should eat at this point. Right now i'm eating 3 meals and if I have a snack it's an ounce of nuts.

Speak to your doctor about changing anti depressants there is one I take that helps with food addiction. ( It also helps with smoking addictions), sometimes it takes more one type. I take to different brands, everyone has different reactions. Keep trying to find the correct combination. good luck

Heather_A I was having a hard time with Water intake. I set my apple watch to vibrate every 15 mins and I take a few sips, I've been able to get 48oz plus my Protein Shakes. I'm 2.5 weeks post surgery. I've found adding Crystal Light makes it easier.

I use an Apple watch I also set it to vibrate every 15 mins so I remember to drink
