  1. So today I was sitting around proctoring while my students took an exam, naturally it was very quiet EXCEPT for my stomach that was making loud inhuman noises randomly throughout the whole session. I kept hoping no one would hear them because we are in a good sized lecture hall or that if anyone could hear them that they would just think I was very hungry and not that I had to go to the bathroom or anything lol Anyone have a similar experience or want to share the self-humality with a story of their own? I am having the same experience. I love coffee but it has been making me constipated since I have had surgery, which is a bummer because it used to cause me diarrhea. My NUT also said that i need to be have an additional 16 oz of water for every 8oz of coffee I drink on top of my required 64 oz. I barely make it to 64oz a day so any additional drinking is out of the question. I just miss my coffee! lol

    October 2018 Sleevers

Your'e putting yourself in great risk by having alcohol so soon after surgery. Most docs recommend to wait at least 6 months. Your stomach is still healing and alcohol is very acidic and can mess with the healing process. You're also at a high risk of developing a dependency issue. Having two shots a day when you're probably only bringing in about 1000 calories a day isn't "light". You're definitely fooling yourself if you think that alcohol isn't having some negative impact on your weight loss!

I've tried tons of stuff from the store. A lot of it is hit or miss. Some stuff I love and other things have been just sitting in my cabinets. What are you looking at specifically?

    3 days post op

Totally normal feelings. I had zero desire for anything for awhile. You just have to focus on meeting liquid and protein goals.
  7. Thank you for the links! I'm terrible at being mindful while eating. Sadly I feel like I cannot enjoy food unless I'm shoving it down my throat at ridiculous speed... Sent from my SM-G960U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Sliders and triggers

Yep. Also most popcorn is full of salt, butter and a ton of other stuff that increases calories and decreases how healthy it is Sent from my SM-G960U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Sliders and triggers

Your friend is gaining weight because she is self sabotaging/working around her sleeve by eating popcorn all day. Sent from my SM-G960U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Sliders and triggers

Yes, sliders can stall your weight loss. Weight loss is all about calories in versus calories out, so if you are eating more calories than you are burning, you're not going to lose weight. Obviously if a food is a slider, you're eating more of it and that results in more calories taken in. If you cannot control yourself around a certain food(a "trigger") it means you have an unhealthy relationship with that food item so in short, yes it's bad for you. Sliders and triggers

This person is just referring to foods that you can eat a lot of because they do not cause any discomfort. The sleeve is a restriction tool that (for awhile at least) prevents us from overeating because we start to feel uncomfortable if we have eaten too much. If a food is a "slider" it "slides" right through our sleeve and we feel no restriction. "Triggers" are just foods that you cannot seem to help yourself around.
  16. Lol Ex lover's friend: "Why did you break up with her?" Ex lover: "I just couldn't take the noises her stomach made after sex" Legit reason Sent from my SM-G960U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Interpreting men

Definitely just stop talking to men. Have you seen the article that has been floating through facebook where this extremely old woman (in 100s?) says the key to a long healthy life is avoiding men? Lol Sent from my SM-G960U using BariatricPal mobile app

  23. Lol. At least it was someone you were hopefully close enough too where they understood why your stomach was making those noises. I wasnt about to explain to a lecture hall full of students that I had surgery and my stomach wasnt making those noises because I had to sh*t Sent from my SM-G960U using BariatricPal mobile app
