    October 2018 Sleevers

Oh yes, I have no idea what my full or hungry signals are now. I just eat on a time schedule and stop after a few bites. Even the smoothies and protein shakes make me nauseous in the morning. Having to take the multivitamin is the worst. Sent from my SM-G960U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Nov 2018 Hydration Challenge

Only little over a month out and nowhere near being able to "chug". Not a fan of water enhancers. I like plain water. I just forget to drink it constantly. I'm doing good today though Sent from my SM-G960U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Nov 2018 Hydration Challenge

Struggling quite a bit over here. Even 64 oz of plain water has been a reach for me. It's mostly a mental struggle. Pre surgery, I used to take in about 98 oz a day. I like to chug water through. This sip sip sip thing annoys me. I always wind up getting distracted and not drinking for a couple hours here and there which really limits the amount of water I can take in. Tomorrow is going to be a long day though, so I'm going to start drinking early in the morning and set reminders on my phone! The more hours I am up, the more hours i have to drink lol Sent from my SM-G960U using BariatricPal mobile app

    October 2018 Sleevers

Sleeved on 10/2 and still this far out some days I sake up feeling slightly nauseous (never thrown up but more like sick at the thought of trying to eat) and light headed. Anyone else experiencing this? Sent from my SM-G960U using BariatricPal mobile app

  7. Alcohol at only two month post op?!? Alcohol isn't the enemy, you're being your own worst enemy. You know what you need to do to fix the problem. Stop drinking alcohol. Alcohol should not be consumed for at least 6 months post op. You're putting yourself at risk for a whole bunch of problems drinking so early on. Sent from my SM-G960U using BariatricPal mobile app
  8. It depends on the insurance. Most insurances only go by your bmi from your initial appointment. My surgeon had advised me not to lose any weight until I was approved for surgery to avoid complications. Sent from my SM-G960U using BariatricPal mobile app
  9. I'm a huge fan of the unflavored unjury powder. Sent from my SM-G960U using BariatricPal mobile app
  10. I agree with @OIRachel, 26-29 grams per drink is still a decent amount. Just make sure some of your protein is coming from other sources besides premier. Sent from my SM-G960U using BariatricPal mobile app
  11. Also my first Halloween having zero candy. It sucked a lot less than I thought it would. I'm not really craving candy or sweet things. I'm missing savory thing like pizza and hamburgers more. Sent from my SM-G960U using BariatricPal mobile app
  12. Just a heads up that my app (android) is currently not working. On all boards, it displays the message "No results".

    October 2018 Sleevers

Officially down 20 pound since surgery (10/2)!! I've been feeling good. Still dealing with water intake and exhaustion. Also learning how to overcome some mental obstacles such as putting myself in food oriented situations but not eating. I technically get cleared for all food tomorrow but still not fully comfortable with the pureed stage, so I don't see myself moving along quite yet. I hope all my fellow early October sleevers are doing well! Sent from my SM-G960U using BariatricPal mobile app
  15. Correlation does not equal causation. The most basic of statistics courses teach you that. For people who were between the ages 50-65, high protein diets positively correlated with increased risk of cancer. This doesn't mean that high protein diets are causing cancer. There are so many other factors to take into consideration. Sent from my SM-G960U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Social outings suck now

Thank you for the suggestions! I wound up bringing pumpkin spice yogurt to the Halloween party I went to last night. Everyone else loved it, I hated it! Lol Sent from my SM-G960U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Social outings suck now

Same! I don't want to miss out on the fun. I've been just sticking to water but its mentally draining to sip on eater while all my friends drink and eat. Sent from my SM-G960U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Social outings suck now

I'm only about 3 weeks out so its not wanting to overeat, it's not being able to eat at all while out. I'm technically on soft food stage but still can barely tolerate that. I wouldn't risk ordering something while out. Sent from my SM-G960U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Social outings suck now

Thank you guys for all the responses. Unfortunately, my situation isnt as easy as just finding something that doesn't involve food and drinking. As mentioned, I'm a bar person and so are my friends. We have a big group, all in our twenties, if there are no drinks my friends are probably not going there lol I could always hang out with my very close friends and do something non-food/drink related but it isnt the same as being out on the town. Movies

I saw the new Halloween movie last weekend. I enjoyed it. I was only about 2 weeks post op though so I did not have anything to eat or drink there besides water. Sent from my SM-G960U using BariatricPal mobile app

Is one week off work enough?

I took 2 weeks off which was more than enough. After about a week and a half, I was good to go. I even took a 2 hour trip down to see my family during that second week where they were eating McDonalds in front of my face. It was sucky but manageable. Personally I didnt have much of an appetite anyways until about 3 weeks out (now). Sent from my SM-G960U using BariatricPal mobile app

    SMH

THIS!!!!^^^^^ I agree 100%! I'm tired of seeing people post "use the search bar!". I have tried to use it multiple times and it sucks. It always shows me irrelevant posts, posts from years ago, and is just a mess. I'm not sure if it's only app thing because that is the only place I've used it but from my experience on the app, the search bar is totally useless. I'd be better off manually scrolling through each post to try to find what I want. Sent from my SM-G960U using BariatricPal mobile app
  25. Yeah, they get gross pretty fast. The smell is what gets to me. Let it sit out for more than a half hour and smell it absolutely disgusting. Like sour milk. Sent from my SM-G960U using BariatricPal mobile app
