hope I don't chicken out
Liz The New Me replied to gabrielle1's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I remember the waiting it felt like foooooreverrrrrr. Then it's like a roller coaster ride and over in 2 min. -
did doe what Grady Cat said I know it's hard but there is so much factor between you and the world of sleever's. Look at where you want to be in one year and let your body heal on the path of healthy living.

hope I don't chicken out
Liz The New Me replied to gabrielle1's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You sound like me! I thought I had wrote it. I'm going to be 6 yrs older than you on the 14th. and that's when I knew you could be a sister from another mother. I have no regrets so far. I wish I had done it years ago to really be enjoying it to the fullest now. Now it's not easy and you follow the rules closely because you loose the most weight in the beginning. We are all different here and hit things at different times. But we all get on the loosing bench and will be wearing our sexy dress out....even if it's just to the grocery store. Welcome!!! -
From what I read on this site the more you have to loose the faster it comes off the first couple of months Then the closer you get to your body's ideal weight the slower the weight loss becomes, and the harder to loose it. You really have to find how to jump start it by your food and exercise routine. Well that's what I'm telling myself. LOL

Surgery In 2.5 Weeks and I Haven't Told Husband Yet...
Liz The New Me replied to Boldilocks's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes that is correct only Tylenol. Snip Snip Snip water that is all for a couple of days. Even warm broth or tea if you can not handle the cold/warm water. Plus keep moving, walking believe me the more you do the more the gas pain will come out. Try every hour to walk around the house 3 times. You can do this!!!!! So happy Hubby is going with you on this as of today. Just keep thinking of where you what to be in a year with your weight. Hugs and kisses -
Surgery In 2.5 Weeks and I Haven't Told Husband Yet...
Liz The New Me replied to Boldilocks's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Wow what a story! 😭🤐 😘 I had to read it all the way to the end. What us women have to go though still this time and age. My mom was the same way, strong and determined and that was back in the 70's when Divorce was a bad word. Wish you well and you have come to the right place to let off stream, and get support. God Bless. -
It just started for me. Every morning handful of hair. Not loving this at all!!!

What Lotions & Creams have you tried during weightloss.
Liz The New Me replied to Wendums's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I didn't know about the Bio-oil but will try it. I am using Vitamin E, I spray on after shower. And sometimes Aloe lotion too. I just stated on the Gold Bond Neck firming cream also and it's been helping also. -
Baritastic!!!!!!! Love it Has all the reminders and alerts you want to send to yourself. Plus email yourself your weight chart.

Like they say this is a new tool. We have to break in and learn how to use it. What does not work today maybe work months later. It's always changing till it is worked in. Now with me going on 4 1/2 months my stomach will start hurting when I have put to much in or eat to fast. If I continue to eat the foamy's will start. You will start spitting up what looks like foam from the ocean. Standing up and walking will help in time but throwing it up will relieve the pressure in your stomach and throat.

SEPTEMBER 2018 SURGERIES AND SUCCESS
Liz The New Me replied to Frustr8's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I hear you sister same here. Honeymoon is over. Scale is not moving that much anymore. I'm having to up my protein and calories to see 1 lb to move on the scale. And working out much more and harder. -
So before WLS on my many diets I learned I was allergic to sugar substitute called aspartame and also soy. The side effect of overloading your body with this will give you diarrhea big time. If you over done it will feel like you have food poison. So now I use this to my advantage when I'm constipated, I will have some. LOL
-
Wow looking through my own eyes I just don't see 50 lbs done. I took the side my side picture from 4 months ago to today's and can only see some change. I hope I can keep loosing. I just read that the window or the honeymoon stage of weight lost is in the first 4 months after that it will slow down and you have to work even harder to keep it going. Trying to keep positive even if it is one pound I lost in 2 weeks.

In a month I only lost 6lbs :’(
Liz The New Me replied to jultrim18's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I totally feel you. I'm in the same boat. The closer you get to your ideal weight your body will slow down. WLS is just a starting tool now it's up to us with this brand new tool to use it properly. I can honestly say I have never been able to loose weight and keep it off. Let alone loose 48 lbs. as of today. Heavy my whole life and now being able to restart my lifestyle over. Be patient with yourself is what I keep telling myself over and over. -
February 5th, The first day of my new life
Liz The New Me replied to Greg White's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
First I wish I was reading this site before not after. I would have not stock up on any vitamin's before because now I hate them all. My taste bud has changed so much. I ended up doing the Patch MD. Give yourself time to heal and do not rush to move to the next step. Warm tea and soup was and still is my go to comfort for my stomach. Best of luck. -
1 year anniversary today
Liz The New Me replied to bluegirl216's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
WOW!!! Congratulation!!!! It is so inspiring to hear from others who are paving the way. Thank you and keep up the great work on yourself. -
Take your time. These are just guidelines. We all reach them at different times and it's you stomach that will tell you when it's ready not the book. And it will let you know for sure what it likes or not. Plus your taste buds will change big time. I'm still learning and still trying to get settled in. But if it's a pain that is not going away you have to call your doctor always.

I buried my 15 year old grand-son
Liz The New Me replied to ProudGrammy's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Proudgrammy so SORRY for you and your family. Big Hug and Kiss is all I can offer with Love. Praying for some comfort for your broken heart. -
I don't think I would be able to work at work at only 250 calories a day. I aim for 800 calories and 80 grams of protein a day sometimes I can get there sometimes not.

What better motivation to have …...To prove her wrong!!!!!! Focus on you only! People love misery and need the company. If you are doing something about it and moving on with your life, they get nervous you don't need them anymore. Or their just jealous!!! Where in your life you can say I LOST 52 POUNDS in 2 Months. You are doing this for you. To feel better and heathy. Your gallbladder was going to go with or without this. Please stay focus on your plan. This is a no judgement and the most encouragement place to be on this site right now. Give your body a year to become the best you. Remember it took you a long time getting and being 287. Big hug and love coming your way.

So true I also have learned more from this site. You don’t know what to ask if you never been there before. So I read everyone’s and see if it will work for me. I also realize we are all different in some things and the same in others and at different timelines. So appreciate for their advice from their experience.

Smooth Move at night is best I only have one cup. Sometimes every other night. But remember you have to find what is working for you. Plus if you are eating less you poop less
