I have the same issue. I asked at my 2 week follow up. Told me the biggest spot that's sore is where the stapler was in. Also said theres a couple stitches as well so it'll take a little longer for that one area to stop being sore

I lost the same. 12lbs in 2 wks post op. Just do you. I have PCOS so I already know my body is stubborn and fights to keep every ounce. My weight chart looks like this over last 30 days. 4 days preop rest post op almost 3.5 weeks. You can see I stay the same day after day after day, then whoosh, drop down 5-6 lbs then back to holding onto everything. just because I had GB doesn't mean my body still wants to cooperate, lol But I know it doesn't have a choice that eventually it will go.

AJP replied to Chariff's topic in Food and Nutrition
Looks good to bad I don't like a bunch of veggies. Yes I've tried the ones I don't like a few times and prepared different ways. Avocado squash kale eggplant zucchini nope not happening. Kinda of envious of those who can eat like that lol -
Yep vitamin shoppe stores have samples. I ordered from body nutrition and have found a few. Also I ordered the syntax samples from Amazon to find which ones I liked.

Extreme anxiety about surgery at nighttime
AJP replied to Oct517's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I had gastric bypass on 8/16. Carpel tunnel surgery on right hand on 8/30. Pain wise I'd do gastric bypass any day compared to my hand!! Still need to get surgery on left but with the pain of it not sure if I'm going to do it. -
Need breakfast ideas - what are you eating for bf?
AJP replied to indacrucible's topic in Food and Nutrition
I've tried those before and after bypass. I can do about 2 tsp of oikos zero. To sweet for me taste buds don't know why -
I dropped 10 before surgery, nothing for 2 weeks after surgery then like 8lbs overnight this week back to not losing. I have pcos so I know my body is going to fight me on every pound which is why I had bypass done. I know it'll leave it is just going to go kicking and screaming

Why not just do lactose free milk? Lactaid makes lactose free and fairlife is lactose free
-
Lucky!!! Mine was Robards shakes, soups, pudding and bars. So 2 shakes a day one soup or pudding then one protein bar. Then last 2 days no protein bars. Talk about hard!!!
-
I said the heck with it and didn't wear one for 2 weeks. I also had carpel tunnel surgery on my right hand 2 weeks post-op. Dug out a front hook and managed to get it closed one handed lol

I start puree over the weekend. But tried a few things that were on soft menu. Follow up was Tuesday. Dr said if I'm handling it and not having issues then soft is OK instead just chew chew chew

When Did You Stop Crushing Pills?
AJP replied to logicwand's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
First day home post-op capsule for pain got stuck. Spent rest of day after vomiting with dry heaves. Then later tried to sprinkle the powder omg that was just as bad. Ended up taking liquid Tylenol for pain. Tomorrow have to try my adhd capsule. Since its extended release Ill have to sprinkle it app we'll see -
My follow up was yesterday. Okd me to basically skip puree and do soft stage as long as I can handle it and chew slowly. I did dump on sugar free pudding. Guess one pudding cup is OK 2 is a never again lol
-
My puree and soft food stages had me found meals with food but in between meals supplementing with protein drinks to make sure I stay on target. Today I had a shake for breakfast (Dr appt early) lunch was tuna fish with a little fat free mayo and relish snack later was ricotta bake about 5pm protein shake. Dinner was 2.5 Oz chicken breast and 1/4 c sliced carrots. Congress out to little over 70g protein

My coworkers joined me for lunch the day before surgery. Me and my protein drink with them and their food. It was great. My boss has already informed everyone that were all going to start walking at lunch when I go back lol
-
I ended up getting regular soups and putting them through the blender. Also bought isopure unflavored powder and added it to soups. Cream of wheat instant packets and 8oz fairlife had been my main breakfast. I also made my own pudding pops with added protein My follow up is tomorrow as well my 2 weeks was last Thursday. Slowly started adding HB eggs, baked ricotta etc yesterday. Made the mistake of having 2 sugar free pudding packs last night and had mild dumping. Only advantage to that was that I'm now 8lbs lighter today lol
-
My Dr told me to concentrate on protein that the rest will follow. Now almost 3 weeks post-op and I'm now hitting goals most days As for lactose intolerance it's possible after surgery. I switched to fairlufe fat free milk. 13 g protein no lactose and less sugar

I had bypass on 8/16. Was drinking freely in hospital. Apparently the nurse I had normally didn't work that floor. Found it from morning nurse I was only supposed to be doing Oz at a time. Oops. I'd rather be over hydrated than to need an iv
