Large-capacity pouch 6 weeks post op

I just had my 6 week post op visit and said the exact same thing to my nutritionist. She said that I can tolerate a 1/2 cup to 1 cup of food at this point because the pouch is healed and not swollen anymore.
  2. I am one month post op today and have lost 29 pounds since pre op. I had stalls around week 2-3 also so reading your post reassured me that I am on the right track. THANKS!!
  3. so happy to read your post. I am 2 and a half weeks post op and have not lost anything for about 4-5 days and have been worrying. Your post gives me hope.
  4. Two week post op today and it is my first day back at work. Feeling great to be back, but EXHAUSTED already and it’s only 10:30!
  5. Me too. Perfectly normal after activity.
  6. I have that feeling too. It comes after I bend too much or do too much. I walk around holding my large incision in for support.
  7. Here is the baked ricotta recipe. If anyone else has good recipes, I would love to try them!
  8. I’ve been sticking with scrambled eggs, cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, ricotta, and broth with protein powder. My nutritionist gave me a great recipe for ricotta, marinara sauce, mozzarella, and parm. I’ll post it when I go downstairs. She said I could eat it during the puréed food stage.
  9. How are you feeling? I now have a tightness that wasn’t there a few days ago.
  10. The pain is totally manageable. I was worried too, but it is more of a discomfort.
  11. Chrisb, going well. First few days were heavy pain meds. Now that I am home and doing more, there are new pains, but people on here say that is normal.

10 Days Post-Op and Feeling New Pain

Thank you, Sosewsue. This puts my mind at ease.
  13. Hello. Just joined this group today. I had my bypass on 8/1 and am feeling a different kind of pain today. It is a tightness and pain around the main incision (not the incision itself), but only when I move or bend. If I am sitting still, I feel fine. Is this normal? Thanks for any insight.
