I've been either throwing up, getting heart burn, or stomach aches. After a full year on the band, I'm on 8.5 cc out of 15 and I still can eat as much as I want. I paid $20K for this procedure and all it does is make me sick...

Like I said before, I can eat as much as I want. There is no restriction. It's not working. I do eat healthy though and been exercising more...

I lost a lot of weight in the beginning since I was on a liquid diet for two weeks. I lost only one pound since then though. I have a 7 cc fill on a 14 cc band so far. Another problem is that they tried to fill me slightly more but I failed the water drinking test. It got stuck so they had to back off down to 7 cc. I can basically eat as much as I want still. My doctor is concerned and I paid out of pocket.

I just got my first fill yesterday of 2.5 cc. So far, no restriciton...

Well I had my first fill of 2.5 cc and I don't feel any different when I eat. I can still eat as much as I want. Maybe the 2nd fill will help me...

I'll be having my first fill in 4 weeks and was wondering your experiences of each of your fills. That is, what was your hunger (restriction experience) like after your first fill, second fill, and so on? I know that doctor's don't inject the same amount of fill but this should give me a ballpark answer. Happy Banding!

Good question. I was pretty surprised when I saw the reading at the hospital today. I wasn't drinking the requirement since my stomach was feeling blah or I was resting from fatigue. I don't recommend losing this much this fast. It takes a toll on the body. I'm so glad that I'm on soft foods now. Good luck with your band progress.

Two weeks since my surgery and I lost 30 lbs. I had no pre-op diet. Great drop but I've been run down considerably. Thank God that today is my first day on soft foods from just liquids. Today I use a fork. Woo hoo! I've been craving real food for over a week now but I've been sticking to the diet plan. I never dreamt of food before either. Ha!

My surgery went well according to the doctor but it was longer than expected. Just trying to get to my stomach was the hard part they said. After I woke up from surgery, I was in extreme amount of pain that I was breathing fast and moaning pretty loudly. They put me on pain relievers through the IV right away.

Stuck food result in band open
asenft replied to asenft's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Yes, I'm talking about a unfill to unlock the stuck food. I have heard of one incidence in my area that this has occured with dry white chicken. -
I was just banded and read about the stuck problem. How many of you have had this problem that you needed the band to be unfilled?
-
I didn't have a pre-op diet plan given to me but I wish I didn't eat as much because I felt pretty bloated after surgery. I wish you good luck.

Thank you! Things are getting better every day, especially the pain. I can now roll over in bed and not cringe.
