Im 2 months post op, and I been feeling kind of depressed lately. I thought that by loosing weight I wouldn’t miss food. Socialization revolves around food always, going out to dinner or getting together with the family on Sunday involves food. Almost every major holiday is enhanced with a traditional menu. I feel that I cannot participate in a ritual in the same way. But the worst part is that no one understands. And I feel terrible watching everyone enjoying and asking if I would like some and I having to say “no thank you” because I know if I eat something that is not on my menu will make me feel very sick. I really hope this gets better I really miss gathering the family. I prefer to stay home every time the family reunites. I really feel lonely in this journey.

I got my surgery in Mexico, but the U.S was the first one using this method.

My Doctor said that a reinforced gastric sleeve is to prevent bleeding and staple-line leak, which are the most common complications. They first staple the sleeve and then sew it.

It will get better, the first week is kind of rough but it’s only temporary, you got this!! 😇

Im 5wks post op and I feel great now, I got the reinforced sleeve which makes me think that was the reason why I had a rough recovery that took me 15 days.

Some say it was to much 🤔

I was the same the first week after surgery..throwing up the liquids and with headaches, but it will get better. I am 1 month post op and I feel great!

5 wks post op and every time I eat which is not to much I have to spit the excessive saliva! Is it normal? I have my next appointment until Sep 10th..

Seems I got my period back yesterday and is very heavy 😞 Im in bed because I feel so weak.

4wks Post Op (sleeved) and I’ve been always regular with my period. This month I had my period and it lasted one day, I had all the symptoms. Any one else?
