Hi all, I was banded yesterday and I have been trowing up uncontrollably. I cant even keep my saliva down. Had an upper GI done today and there is swelling on my stomach at the band site. Anyone have this happen. I am scared because they say to keep hydrated. Help.

Now I am able to get a little fluid down but have the worst case of heartburn. Has anyone else had this?

Hey there, Dr. K says that i have swelling around the band site and only time will heal it. I have to go to the hospital to get an IV because the swelling is causing an obstruction and I cant keep anything down. Girl, all I can say is, really think about this. I have been in hell for the last two days and am starting to regret this. This is a life long procedure and nothing comes without complications. Thanks for checking on me and keep in touch..

hello!! i am looking for a reputable, affordable doctor in Florida. I have cigna and they wont cover the procedure so I am self pay. I know that cost is not the first choice but I cant afford 20K. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks for all your help!:biggrin2:

I have done some research and a friend had it done so i had limited my choices to this doctor or another. I am really looking into some insight and of course cost is a factor.

Does anyone have any scar information from Dr. Kirshenbaum. I want to know how the scars are with this doctor. I was told that the scarring depends on the doctor and want to choose a doctor that does a good job at this. Thanks guys!!
