Anyone from Wisconsin?
whitedragonruth replied to pions9815's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Madison here. Had my pre-op with Dr Gerren plus first meeting at UW American Center with psychologist & nutritionist. They estimate a March or April surgery—getting an roux-n-y. Feels like it’s coming fast and that it’s far off. Walking 30 minutes a day and chewing every bite 30 times, that’s my mantra. 🥴🤠 -

Surgery in the morning...Nerves are kicking in!

Frustr8, you have a friend, well-wisher and sympathetic shoulder available from me. I haven’t posted much because I am very early in the process but as another well-aged gal (67) with a drive for transforming the years I have left, I have enjoyed & giggled with you on your journey. You have a tough set of circumstances but your strength and faith shine through your postings. Very best to you from a white dragon (the good kind, not one of the biters!) who is also battling to get her fires re-lit. -

Bingeing with Bypass

First post for me on this great forum and perfect topic for me right now! I had my first consult for a sleeve a week ago and am working on weight loss before my next appointment on 10/5. At first all was well then my beast roared awake and stomping!! I have not lost weight and am eating like a starving fool. Great ideas here—I’m going to start with planning and tracking calories. And walking. It is so crazy, this addiction, and at 67 I am OVER having it run my life, wreck my joints, etc. So there & thanks for great ideas.
