  1. 1) having my husband tell me I am sexy again 2) a smaller jean size 3) To being more active and feeling healthy:thumbup: Banded April 18, 2008 by Dr. M. Stephan at Dallas Regional Medical Center
  2. I don't have any pain unless I push the exercise a bit much. I still am a bit puffy where the port is and figure this will go down within a few more weeks. I can sleep on my left and right side with no problems, however this has only been the case for about a week now. Banded 4/18/08, Dr. Stephan, Dallas Medical Center
  3. My port is directly behind my large incision. My port doesn't hurt at all. I can feel it if I push in on my belly a bit. If I over-do my walking/exercise I feel a bit of tenderness in that area...but I am sure that will go away once I am 100% healed. I had 11 staples..they itched like crazy 3 days out...I had them out at 5 days post op...didn't feel it at all.
  4. My doc sounds the same...I could proceed with soft mushy foods at 10 days out. I am not at the two week mark and he said just to make sure I chew my food very very well and take small bites...introduce new foods one at a time. I have not been too adventurous, stick mostly to Soups with mushy stuff in it...did try some shredded up chicken today and all went well. I wish you much luck! Banded April 18th, 2008
  5. Mine came back within a week and a half or so. I thought something was terribly wrong but the dr said everyone heals differently and it just meant my swelling was gone. Still have to go through the stages of re-introducing food though.
  6. I was able to have protein shakes but only 2 to 3 oz at a time and I had to drink very slowly. Then of course jello, tea, white grape juice, broth; anything that was clear and liquid.

    I want to join!

Hello everyone. I was banded April 18th by Dr. M. Stephan in Mesquite TX. My goal is to loose 85 and maintain at a lovely 140. The great news is my husband is doing this with me and he will be banded May 9th. The whole experience is very unique as I am full on just liquids and often have to remember to drink at meal times. My one question is the burping...it seems to be more difficult than before banding...is this normal? Nothing comes up so it is not PB or vomiting, just air trying to come up. I look forward to the responses. Thank you!
