hey laurel glad to hear your doing good. well i did much better today, i even got to go to the gym. i walked on the treadmill for 15mins the first time them 10mins the seconde time at the speed of 1.6 it felt good and i did of course have to stop and rest. also had some pain but i handled it. and i to try and eat 3 meals a day but, that's alittle hard right now. so im in no rush to eat as i have done that for years. so im just gonna sit back and enjoy the small meals. well this is what i eat today: b-4oz Protein shake s-2.5oz peaches mashed, 1/2c coffee 45mins later l-2vienna sausages mashed, 1/2c coffee 45mins later d-3oz chix mashed, 3oz yams mashed and that's all folks:biggrin:

hey rose how are you, baby dont weigh ya self every day it will drive you crazy. promise me you will only weigh once a wk. are you still on mushie phase. it looks good what you are eating. i might be wrong but, was your Breakfast all Protein. meaning the eggs are protein right and so are the Beans right. are you eating the same amount of calories a day. i hear some people say that they go up and down with the calories. i really think its your body just getting use to the food coming back into play. my dr said that once i started food back i might gain a few lbs or the weightloss might slow down a bit. either way im ok with it as i have to learn what to eat and how to eat. hell im still trying to get a whole meal down. im going to the gym tonight :crying::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::frown: i feel like a kid in a candy store. imagin that. has anyone tried pork loins or steak. i tried chix it was ok. would like to try a hot dog no bun but, im scared i know i gave my kids that when they where smaller. cut up sm. i went and got me a baby spoon and fork:biggrin: just to make sure i dont put to much in has anyone else dont that. i also have a cup that hold only 8ozs. and im stll useing the bowl that everyones broth was in at the hospital. or i have a 4oz bowl. so im trying to get into the next size but dont see that happening any time soon. maybe in 2wks i will try a regular bowl. tell me how often is everyone else eating? i have been eating like every 4-5hrs mostly. and do you eat b4 you get hungry. i eat when i remember. gotta work on that. also has anyone eaten any thing they were not supose to yet. i did i had 1 veinna sausage. it was mashed up and yes it was good. well talk to everyone soon. also im gonna be starting a new weightloss challenge jan.2,09 i hope you all join it, its really fun and we offer alot of support to one another its almost like this one except we are not all the same suregery date.:wink:

:shades_smile:hey pete and sw.heart181, yes i will be posting a new one for january2nd till 2-27-09 not unless everyone wants to do it till valeintinesday.. or just the month of january. i myself would like to do it month by month. but, in any case i will put it up on the 1st for the seconde but, if everyone could come on beween now and da first and post how much you have lost that would be great. happy new years all and im proud to be apart of this group we are doing so great. hell i might post a new one tom. just so its there. i go back to the gym tonight will let all know how that went. c ya

hi angie my name is china i had surgery the day b4 you. im on pureed and move to soft tom. dont know if im happy about that or not as im was having a problem with liquids and dont eat much at all on liquids at all. i try and stick with things i like or i wont eat it. tell me if you eat do you find that you dont drink as much. i have that problem. but, in any case great job on the weightloss. i lost 11bls my first wk and dont know what i have lost as of now. dont know if your interested but, we had a weightloss challenge that we started and will be starting a new one on the 2nd of january if your interested in joining. really its just a support form. hope to see you there.:frown:

hey everybody hows things going. im doing alrigh well i go to the gym today im so excited about that. have to let everyone know how that went. i still have some pain in my side and stomach but, not as much as before. trying to get in the eating more but, not doing so good on that part. so hear is what i eat for 12-28-08 and remember this out of a baby food jar says 3ozs. b-3ozs oatmeal w egg s- half a med coffee l-3oz yams, 4.5oz soup, other half of coffee s-3ozs oatmeal w egg d- 3oz yams/turkey meat, 4oz apple juice 45mins later. s-

hi all i tried to come here yesterday and my computer would not let me on. any who im glad im not the only one that is having a problem with the liquid if you eat. i noticed if i eat i cant drink later. gonna have to work on that to. what i ate yesterday b-8oz orange Protein shake l- 1oz each chix,yams s-4oz pudding d-sm chili,med coffee gone try harder today will come back tonight and post what i eat today.:tongue_smilie:

that is such a great job. i dont like the pureed phase which i think is the mushie also. i think im doing alright. here is what i eat today. b- almost 1/2cup of yogurt w 1 spoon of Peanut Butter l-1/2 slice turkey, spoon of yams s-sm d-coffee w 3slenda's an a slash of milk d-2.5oz maybe lessbake chicken mashed up, 2oz yams, 1 taste of potatoes. 45mins later lime Water and thats it. i think it will save my weigh in till jan. lst them start the new one the 2nd. and your welcome this challenge has been fun and time really moved with all the talking we all do.

HEY ALL ROSE THIS IS GOOD FOR REAL I THINK I WILL TRY THE CARNATIONS drinks FOR B AS IM NOT HUNGRY IN THE MORNING. AND IM SCARED TO PUT THE COTTAGE cheese IN MY MAGIC BULLET. I HAVEN'T MASTERED IT YET, SO I TEND TO OVER BLEND STUFF STILL.:tongue2:. LAUREL NO POINT INTENDED JUST THAT BOTH MY MOM AND HER 2 SISTER WENT ON FORMULA 40-30-30 AND IN 15MONTHS ALL HAD LOST OVER 150LBS. MY MOM LOST 213LBS. BUT, THE POINT IS MY AUNTS ARE OVER 51. HELL I KNOW YOUNG PEOPLE THAT LOSS SLOW I DONT CARE IF ITS FAST OR SLOW AS LONG AS IT COMES OFF AND DOESN'T COME BACK. IS ANYONE ELSE HAVING TROUBLE WITH THE DRINKING. I FIND MY SELF DRINKING AFTER I FINISH EATING. SOME TIMES I CAN WAIT 15MINS AFTER THAT IM FEEL LIKE IM DIEING OF THIRST. GONE TRY IT TODAY AND WAIT TO DRINK OR DRINK BEFORE AS I HAVE NEVER DID THAT ONE YET.

omg that is great i will weigh my self on tuesday and post what my weight is now. Jewel you are doing so good hell we all are. Pete how much have you lost since surgery. Me the 11lbs and counting. tell me since being band does anyone count what they are eating. I made a yogurt w Peanut Butter in it. 1 cup size eat it to almost a .50 a half and just didn't want any more. It trips me out every time it happens. I tried eggs and could only eat 1 ozs. That was so funny. any who how much calories is everyone eating once on regular food. I was thinking 1200-1700 a day as i will be going back to the gym on monday. Just doing cardio for the next 3wks. This is what i was on before surgury and lost alot of weight moving up an down on these amounts. Seems like alot so i will see as most of you have to remember im bigger than most. Well next challenge goes up 1-2-09 until feb. 14th or beyond let me know should it be till the end of febuary. Let me know what you all think.

iim on pureed which is any thing you put in the blender like baby food like food. i think i did good today here is what i eat today. b-15oz oj s-1 slice of turkey mashed up l-2spoons each dressin, yams mashed, slice turkey mashed up. d- same as above (it all fits in the size bowl that you eat the broth out of at the hospital) larel age is just a number always remember your as young as you feel. my granny use to say dont nothing get old but, money an clothes. also glad to hear that your night was better. i never felt full or felt like i over eat at any point so i ate 2x's in 9hrs. rose im gonna have to start tracking what i eat. do you use that calorie counter thing i was thinking about trying it. think im gonna stick around 1200-1700 calories. going back to the gym on monday very happy about that. that's really gonna help me out. laurel have you thought about how may calories you will be trying to eat a day. what about you allie. laurel yes ya ex is mad as you have showed him that life goes on without good for you. heres a laugh on him just think the healthier you get the better you will look and he will feel worser for what he lost. they always hate to see there ex's looking good it makes them feel like shit. so under that note you go girl. i to have a magic bullet i love mine.

great job rose, i think it will try and do any where in between 1200-1500 but, never over 1700 when i go back to he gym. that is what i was eating around to lose the 43lbs. so that will be my range once i start back eating real food.

great job everyone. i want everyone to always share how they are feeling, as that is important on this ride. that is what we are here for always remember there will be good days and there will be bad ones. that's how we learn trust me. i know im younger that most of you but, i seem to have alot of wisdom alot of people say i have the spirit of a old women. i just smile as i know i have grown up around older people. well said allie i to agree with you on that. laurel and rose please dont be discourage by the weightloss that is some thing you should be proud of. its not easy i know. think of it as 7lbs you didn't gain nor will it be comeing back. you are 7lbs closer to your goal. thats some thing that needs to be shouted i did it. it will get better. doesn't really matter how much you loose as long as you finish the race. we are running a marathon not a track meet lets remember that. im so proud of this group we have been through some thing and through it all we still stand tall. laurel give it time, time heals all things. right now ladies we all need to focus on our goals and not let anyone or thing stand in our way. i know you feel hurt becuse its your son but, you still love him and deep down inside he still loves you. hold that close to your heart. as love can with stand the test of time. pray about it and then put it in gods hands he will take care of it may not be when you want him to but, he will.:sad: sending everyone nothing but, love and happy thoughts. workd for tom. is healthy food decisions. and rose i know you cant wait to get to mushy. i dont like pureed. cant wait till next wk to be on soft food. happy holidays everyone.:thumbup::tt2::Banane21::youcandothis:

allie its on here just stroll down the threads under dec.08 the title is the new years challenge. also i know what you mean about the eating part. i tried a scrambled egg this evening i eat an ounce and walked away funny thing was i wasn't full or hungry but, was satified with that. my dude said that's a first. so i guess the band does work. but, the dr told me that i was alittle tight. im cool right now being on the liquid part i really like yogurt and c-cheese and pudding i can live off that. :thumbup: also luarel what happen at the dr.s today dont keep us in the dark share the lose. just playing with ya. maybe one of us should do a weight talley so we all can keep track of what everyone in our group has lost. maybe who ever is good with making sheets, we not gone say any names allie. just kiding but, maybe we should what does everyone thing.

well hello all, just coming from my 1 wk, post-opt appointment and i lost 11lbs. so i either have 3 more lbs to go or if i include all the weight from just december then im down 22lbs. i also moved to pureed phase for the next wk. see how that works.

hey laurel , glad to hear that your doing good. i to am not back to my old self yet but im working on it. hey allie how are you today? well i went to my appointment this morning and it was cool. only problem was my blood pressure went down again it also happen 1 wk before surgery. today it was 92/60 dont know why i happen again. seems like if i lose over 7lbs i does that. any who i have to go back on the 6th for them to check it again and go over the blood work that i have to do. then after that i go back 2-24-09 to see how im doing and if i need a fill. so here it is i lost 11lbs so that takes me down to 378. i think im gonna add a 2nd tickler that shows how much i have lost since surgery. also they moved me to pureed phase and dr said i have to do better than i did on liquids as i was only drinking under 31oz a day. so i agreed and i will try. allie that is a good idea about the sheet. maybe i will do one also. i can do the gym in another wk as i still have some bruising and swelling on my one incision. i cant wait. well i hope everyone has a nice holiday. keep up with the posting too. one question "how many calories do you plan on eating per day when everyone gets to regular food" please think about this for a minute this the question for the wk. also allie we have a weightloss chellange for the new years if you would like to join and get in on the fun.:thumbup:

hi all, hows everyone doing well i went to my appointment and it was alrigh. my blood pressure was low again yes i said low. so i have to go and have blood work done to see what the problem is. so i go back in january then 2-24-09. he said i need to try and eat on the pureed stage as my liquid part was low only consumed about 20 and a few times 31 but, not over that. dont c how anyone could drink the require 64ozs. hell i was full just taking the pain meds. but, i will try. he said im to be eating regular food within the next 3wks that seems fast to me but, im not a dr. so. i have been drinking the same 8ozs p-shake ever since 7am and its now noon. but, my throat is still sore maybe thats y. but, im gone try it out and see what happens. just gone eat what i can and if i cant im not gone worry about it. well i lost 11lbs im excited about that. said my incisions look good they almost healed. asked when i could go back to the gym he said give a few more days within a wk. im happy about that. my incision where my port is - is still swollen and very bruised and hurts when touched or any thing. so im fine with that i guess. walking anything past 30mins i feel a pulling and my incision starts to throb. so that is where the wk came in at. cant wait to get back. i miss the gym. well i hope everyone has a wonderful holiday -
hi allie im so happy to see you join in on our little family. i just posted a message to you telling you about our group and here you are. welcome, welcome. i go tomorrow for my 1 wk appointment i feel excited to see how things are going and i guess have alittle more things added in. i will moving to the pureed phase like baby food type texture. think id rather stick with the liquid. but, i can have scrambled eggs, pudding, yogurt, grits, opmeal. and im excited about that. oh hell i really just want to see if i lost any weight. and great job mrosehavey. what is your name. that is to die for. in really 6 days now if only it stayed like that. but, has anyone thought how we are going to look this time next year. i cant wait. its only been a wk and it was so worth it. i think i will start posting a question a day or a wk for us to think about and responde to just to keep us together and posting as some of us it really helps to have a place to go and people to talk to or just some thing to read. i just like to hear what others think. and of course i like that we share the same date.:smile: i hope everyone keeps posting . well family cross ya fingers for me. will let you all kno in the afternoon as i go at 10am. talk to everyone later.
