  2. hi rose and laurel how are you guys doing, well im doing ok my kids came home today they were gone while i had my surgery i really missed them. rose glad to hear that your back is doing well. i went to the gym tonight and i walked on the treadmill for a total of 40mins tonight first i walked for 22mins then rested then walked for 18mins it felt so good i must say. ok what is up with that ya both go in january for a fill yet i dont until the 24th of febuary. well today was an interesting day on what i eat. and looking good rose on what you eat. heres mine b-10oz protein shake 9am s-1/2 hot dog skinless and no bun 2pm l-the other half of the hot dog 315pm s/d- med. coffee740pm this scared the hell out of me but, i feel ok i later learned that there will be days we can eat and days we cant. so we will see how this works out.

  4. i haven't even eat any where near what i said i wanted to. but, im working on it. just trying to get into the gym as i know that is going to help me in the long run. i went to get mines today they feel good. cant wait to get to the gym and see how they feel there. i love coming here and posting hanging out with ya. i be talking about ya to my family all the time. is anyone ready for a fill yet. i dont go for one until 2-24-09 long time away. i dont think i need one as i still cant eat alot or even enough yet. hope to hear from everyone soon.:biggrin:
  5. ok let the weightloss begin:biggrin: sure sweetz you can you could have posted it once you got surgery or at least a date. welcome MsJennie this is a run group glad to see its getting larger. the ideal is to help each other get to our goal. so i hope everyone posts whether its good or bad.

  7. hi all thought that we could start a mini weightloss challenge here for the new years. you know give each other support and have fun at the same time. say a simular one on another thread. so here goes im china and i will be banded on 12-15-08 and my mini goal is 10lbs. hope others join in:thumbup:
  8. welcome goosefraba and sweet z and thanks pete and doxie for adding everyone as they join. this is working out good ya do the adding and ill do the welcoming.:confused: i cant get add the groups name to mine why is that. it tried to do it like the tickler but, didn't work.
  9. the only thing i can say is i to was told that there is no restriction as i was banded with 1.5cc inside it. i told them some thing is restricting me as i feel full just takeing the pain meds. that did get better now the liquid in take i cant understand it either. but, i will say today was a better day. i did eat 4oz of yams and 3ozs of mashed up chix at a meal setting. but, didn't eat for 6hrs after that so for dinner i had 3oz of applesauce mixed with cottage cheese. and for breakfast 16oz clite. and that was my day. not able to eat much but, its ok i did my share of eating over the years. i did talk to the nurse and dr at the hospital and my appointment and let them know what was going on and i do have to go for some test and if things haven't picked up by the 6 then he's going to take the fluid out. but, i think its ok i would rather drink than eat any ways. just give it time everyone is different. im sure within the next few days or wk i will see some change in my eating. but, i am slightly puzzled to why he has me come back 2-24-09 to see if i need a fill but, others that was band before me or around that date is comeing way sooner than that. he did tell me that he set me tight so he knows i wont need a fill probley even then. so with that said i just take every thing one day at a time.
  10. i know sears and jcPenny's has them on sale right now for $40. i dont know which ones they are just that they are new balance and they feel great.
  11. i hear that new balance sneakers are the best once to get. im going to go get me a new pair in the morning. i have a crocked left foot got it when i had my first baby didn't dialate completly. i was filled with 1.5cc in mines. do you have the relize band or the agp i think its called. i wonder why my dr set my appointment for 2-24-09 yes a long time away. he said i wont need one as he set me tight for this reason. we can any of you tell me are you able to drink or eat what ever. i keep hearing that. yet i cant. question of the week what do you like most about your band. me the fact that i now have my eating under control and can lose weight and is never coming back. im still learning but, its cool for now.

    How's everyones incisions?

    hi all mine is healing just fine i see my port as it sticks out some. all my glue has fell of i did notice a very small part on where my port is has a small scab on it only in the corner. other than that its all good.

  15. i had an ok new years eve it was a little over whelming for me as my kids where not here with me so i was kind of sad. everyone wanted to go out but, me so i stayed home and watched movies. hi rose how are you doing i have been wondering about you. i started back at the gym on monday and i must say i was thinking i would be able to workout like i was b4 the surgery well ladies let me tell you not. i was only able to do 15mins real slow then rest then 10mins and it really made me angry as i really wanted to let go an do my thang. i did go back on tuesday and was only able to walk on the treadmill for 10mins then rest then 10mins again then go home or watch everyone else. i think i was alittle mislead as i read on here where alot of people would say how they where back at work in 3 days or had no pain i was expecting that for me really. dont get me wrong i came home sleeping on my stomach and walking alot but, i never thought i would be unable to workout. but im gone hang in there as im not a quiter. and i to have to learn to be patient. it will come to all of us in due time. i eat 4ozs of yams and 3ozs of oxtails w lima Beans i was so happy to eat that in a whole meal setting. that was for lunch and i had clite for Breakfast and nothing there after. gonna try and eat something for dinner maybe 3ozs of beans and meat mixed together. ya dont know how happy this made me becuse my dr wants to take my cc's out so i can eat but, i said lets wait. so i know see its slowly changing so maybe he wont not. in any case im happy i did it. rose be patient it will come off. maybe you could try adding in more food in every other day. i hear some people say that if they add more food it works as it keeps the body guessing. but im sure once you start excerising it will come off. have you talk to your dr about the back pain.[ also laurel what happen when you eat to much. and how did you know that you eat to much. quote=Goldibluqq;1103578]I hope you had a good new year's eve.   16. ok i was starting to think that i was the only one. when i go to the dr's they say i should be able to drink 64ozs a day and the 3 small meals and that is not possible however im able to know eat 3ozs at once but, wont be able to eat again for 5-6hrs. mostly 6 then i dont eat after 9:30pm so you do the math. might only be able to drink 16ozs in between so i count that as a meal to. it will get better in time hell ive only been banded for 2wks and 3days gotta get use to it. in any case thanks for letin me clear my thoughts.:Yawn: happy new years
  17. that is a great plan, i have really been thinking about how i can help me through the year. i think i can help myself better by watching what i eat. keeping a food journal and a daily diary of my thoughts. and of course getting into the gym and really do my thing. i know that this road is gonna be a hell of a ride but, im ready. i have to learn to stop and smell the roses some times. and always remember that i didn't gain all this weight and it wont come off in a day or to. what is everyone else going to try to get them to there goal.:Yawn:

    hi maybe you can post what you are eating. for exsample today i eat b-4oz creamy tomatoe Soup l-3oz chicken, yams s- 2oz applesauce, 2hrs later 12oz c.lite Water. right now im having a bite of a problem eating can only take in small amonunts. what i did eat today was from 7am-9pm i dont eat after 930pm. working on trying to eat more its coming along just slowly. think it will pick up once i get back to my regular rutine at the gym. give it time it will come off.

  22. hi all how is everyone doing? im doing ok, i went to the dr's yesterday just to get on the scale and im down 9 more lbs. so that is 20lbs in 2wks i feel happy about that. so i also meet my weightloss challenge which was 15lbs so i went 5lbs over that is good. im not that worried about the new years and over eating or drinking im going to the casino that is another story. here is what i had yesterday. b-3oz oatmeal s-1 vienna sausage l-2vienna sausage, spoon of cottage cheese d-3bites of chix breast, 3spoonful of potatoe salad. s-med. coffee well happy new years everyone
  23. hi all how is everyone doing these days. hi shar, im doing ok went to my dr's yesterday down 9 more lbs. trying to just get use to the band started back at the gym monday that is some thing i have to get use to again. im still not able to eat much but, im not tripin on that as i have eat enough over the years so not being able to eat hardly now is alright it will work its self out in time. congradulations daneille on your surgery. and you to kathy on starting your journey. one question for those that have been banded already this is only my seconde week. but, if you did eat could you not drink at all. meaning if i eat 3ozs of what ever i eat i cant drink even 2 hrs later try i can 6hrs later. my question is once you started eating something did you notice that your you where not drinking as much. well happy new years all.
