    Long live Sushi

I finally got to start eating soft foods today! First stop, my local sushi bar. I savored every second of 4 pieces of salmon sashimi. At 40 cal/6g Protein per ounce, it's a beautiful thing. Here's some great info on sushi nutrition! The Sushi FAQ - Sushi Calories and Nutritional Information

Share ideas, What did you eat today ?

I have not had a fill yet. Diet today: B: 1 cup cheerios, 1/2 cup slim milk L: Chipotle 1 scoop chicken, 1/2 scoop guacomole (about 330 calories, 30+ grams protein.....20+ grams of fat though.....) D: 3-4 oz orange roughy blackened S: 3 oz chicken, 1/4 cup chic peas, 1/4 cup pureed spinach, all in red curry with a dash of coconut milk (i.e. Thai style) ~approx 230 calories with 23 grams protein Is this reasonable? I weight a lot more than some people, so it makes sense that I would eat a little more, doesn't it???? Even eating a diet like this, I still feel very hungry, and I'm losing weight. (4+ pounds in the last 9 days)

    New blog

I was banded on 15 April 2008. I have been reading these forums for a few days, and have found them interesting. I've also started a record of my experiences, in the hope that they might prove informational to others considering the surgery. It can be found at: Jason's Lap Band
  5. I was banded on 15 April 2008. My doc has us do only clear liquids the day after surgery. Then we do 14 days of full liquids. A typical day, eating every 3 hours: 1 packet of oatmeal with 4oz skim milk 4-6 oz Protein shake (unjury for me....yuck but good for me) 4-6 oz of soup, pudding, or yougurt 4-6 oz Protein Shake (Unjury for me....yuck but good for me) 4-6 oz of soup, pudding, or yougurt 4-6 oz Protein Shake (Unjury for me....yuck but good for me) I've been eating a lot of Campbell's tomato bisque soup. I put it through a strainer to get rid of the little pieces of tomato, and it tastes WONDERFUL. My doc said that some people have trouble with tomatoes, but it doesn't seem to bother me. Everything is sugar free, low fat. I also drink lots of Water and eat sugar free popsicles. Hope this helps!

255 lbs to lose. Can it be done?

This thread has really been nice to see. I was banded on 15 April 2008, and I have about 280 to lose overall. I lost 20 pounds pre-op, and I've lost about 2 since the surgery (6 days ago). Reading posts in other areas, it seems like everyone had like 60 or 80 pounds to lose, even less. It was very discouraging. I'm glad to know that other people out there are in my position, and that some have succeeded.

Band Date March 20th... Abit Scared

I got my band a week ago today. The surgery went great, and the recovery has been fairly smooth. I have to admit that I am pretty hungry though. I have about 260 to lose. Best,

Unjury...Who likes it and who doesn't?

I agree with an earlier poster- the taste is fine, but the odor is HORRIBLE. I almost vomited earlier today when I opened my can of the chicken powder to mix it. that said, if you hold your breath until it gets mixed, it actually tastes pretty good.
