  1. Happy 55th Birthday jestersmom!

I was just banded on Friday, 4/18. I had been seeing Psychologist and Dietician since 8/06. Took me forever to make the decision to go forward but once I did, everything came together very quickly. I saw Dr Haag on 1/31 and was approved by HNE on 3/25. I've had no problems with the office staff yet; they've called me back in a reasonable time. Did anyone else have a post-op before the 6 week period?
  3. I was banded on Friday and am feeling better and better each day. I'm up and walking (made it around the block today!) but very gassy as you all are talking about. Moreso when I take the Protein shakes (EAS low carb), rather than the Water or chix broth. It feels as if the gas is above the port site rather than below it. Also, I may have to call my surgeon tomorrow morning. My port site seems "pinker" than normal (I had a hard time getting the bandage off when I took my first shower) and it's a little warm. I don't seem to have a fever though. My lap cuts seem to be healing perfectly; no pink, no heat. Best wishes to all of you!
