    Plateau?

I was sleeved September 4th and @ 425lbs, I’m currently I’m at 330. I’ve experienced a few plateaus for like a week and then it falls off. I’ve been at 330 for about 3 weeks now. Any advice or is this normal? Any advice on how to get out of the plateau? Thanks in advance :)
  2. Well, its almost here, I am scheduled for this coming Tuesday (9/4). Im scared and nervous as all get out but have faith that the surgeon, anethesists, and the team as a whole will take care of me. Even though this has been a lifestyle change so far, I'm looking at the end goal and that a healthier me is the goal in mind. That being said, one of my bigger fears is the waking up and not knowing what it is going to feel like. I've heard that some are fine and some go through a lot of pain, along with knowing 3/4 of my stomach is gone seems like it is going to be a very strange feeling. We will see and take it one step at a time I suppose. I started this journey at 425 and am down to 397 with my pre-op diet, I started liquids only this morning. I hope to reach 250 at some point. Once I can, does anyone have any recommendations for a daily vitamin or supplement? Any advice on any good items to take with me for the overnight stay? Thanks in advance, and thanks for this forum as it has provided a lot of good information already and the support seems to be awesome.

    *** September 2018 Sleevers ***

Mine is September 4th. 26 years old, 5”11, 425lbs. Tired of being heavy and have tried everything under the sun to loose weight. I played college football and work a very physically demanding job. Here for about the past 6 months it seems like everyone around me can do physical activity so much easier than me, so that was the last straw. I’m self pay and moved pretty fast about getting it scheduled. Did my endoscope yesterday, no hernias or ulcers, just some reflux and eroded esophagus but doc said that can be fixed afterwards and it won’t interfere with surgery, so that is a blessing. I officially start the low fat diet on the 21st but have already started it. Pysch evaluation next week and pre surgery registration, along with an MRI for my lower back due to sciatic nerve pain (another reason I am getting surgery, have had previous back surgery from a disc, and have been told my weight is not helping). All in all I’m excited and ready but having anxiety about going under even though I did well yesterday with going under for the endoscope. That and the thought of knowing that 3/4 of my stomach is gone seems like it will be a strange feeling, but the end goal is worth it in my mind.
