I was no where near ready to go to work after one week. I wasn't in pain at all, but was really weak and found that I really need to focus on getting the protein/liquids down. I understand you not wanting to take the time off but it may be a good idea to plan to have it off , and go back if you don't need the extra week. Your health is #1.

Congrats to you. I couldn't run 2 miles at all so it is quite an accomplishment.

I just want to say thank you for posting this topic. I just learned that my family is planning a huge BBQ for labor day. I am only 6 days post op and didn't tell any of them. Reading all these posts has been extremely helpful as how to handle the next and upcoming holidays

Same here. I had mine on 8/2 and the first 2 days were extremely rough. I had way more pain than I expected and felt like crap. Yesterday was much better and today has been pretty good alao. I have to say I agree. I feel like it's as much of a mental challenge than anything.

Thank you for your prayers. Im scheduled for August 2ND and as the date gets closer I'm excited and nervous just the same. I know food is a while off for me so I'll ask you for some suggestions when I get closer to being able to eat.
