I'm very nervous that something is wrong or my body is defective. I cant help but notice each day liquids go down more quickly and greater amount with zero problem. I haven't been nauseated, I haven't thrown up at all and I had serious restriction right after surgery up until day 5. Now on day 8, feeling hunger pains. Could I have stretched my pouch even this early and only on stage 2!? Sent from my SM-G930V using BariatricPal mobile app

How do you tells others about your transformations.
JessiG posted a topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I started a new position and feel like it's no one else's business to know about what I'm dealing with. I've told a couple of people (close friends and family) pre-op. Obviously my Boss Nd HR director needed to know but I'm just wondering the ways in which you either keep some privacy or disclose to others that you've had the surgery. My weight has always been a focal point of discussion. Every "fat person" feels as though we have an instant connection and bond over being heavy - and "skinny" people always want to talk about the "diets" that helped them. Any reccomondations about how to change the focal point of body changes? Sent from my SM-G930V using BariatricPal mobile app -

What is you food/liquid in take at 6 days out?
JessiG replied to newmeinfla's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
My team told me that you can count protein shakes in daily liquid count. I'm doing the premier shakes too and my team mentioned that I should focus on the shakes. Sent from my SM-G930V using BariatricPal mobile app -

7 days post op here. I'm focused on my protein shakes. I drink 2 (11 oz) premier protein shakes a day totalling 60g Protien. Additionally I try to drink 5 (8 oz) sized water bottles. I've only been able to accomplish 4 out of the 5 waters and that took a week to do. Just talked to my surgeon yesterday (6 days post op) and he's pleased with the intake. He mentioned I can count out oz in shake as part of daily intake so I can make protien my # 1 focus. I've had good and bad days - mostly due to pressure which is what I'm told is gas build up. Don't worry - just do what you can do. My method is sip water slowly until I feel the pressure. Wait a half hour. Sip protien slowly until I feel the pressure. Wait a half hour and repeat all day until bed. Good luck. Sent from my SM-G930V using BariatricPal mobile app -
You will want to sip! Take one at a time. My surgeon taught me that your sip should be so small that it could rest under your tongue (in that pocket) and you could talk. He even taught me how to sip, hold, breathe all air out and swallow. The pressure pain comes from swallowing air and honestly for me it's just too uncomfortable. I'm six days post OP. And so glad I'm doing these methods because I can honestly tell you Im healing quickly, I haven't thrown up one time and I KNOW the exact amount my body will intake. My body tells me the exact moment between enough and one sip too many. One sip too many and I've got a tight pinch and a lot of pressure. It's insane. Before the pinch you'll feel pressure, that's when I know to stop. Also, each day I can tell that swelling is going down and my body can intake a little more volume at a time (sipping of course). Best of luck! Honestly it's worth the work to be intune with yourself and really change old habits. Sent from my SM-G930V using BariatricPal mobile app

5 days post-op (No dumping, no vomiting) an I missing a signal?
JessiG posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Any body else out there have great success with their surgery? Up and walking evening of surgery, walking 5+ laps around the unit 5x a day, mild nausea, no vomiting, no dumping. Controlled pain at home (still on narcotics 2 times a day - mostly for sleep). While my surgeon is so very pleased (and me too) and says I'm doing, "above average" I cant help but think my body wont help me with things I shouldn't eat. It's still early, but mildly disappointing. I'm on Stage 2 *all liquids* but I feel like my stomach is ironclad UNLESS I'm missing a sign or feeling (which could be possible). When you eat something that doesn't sit well or your stomach disagrees, what does it feel like for you? Sent from my SM-G930V using BariatricPal mobile app -

Obviously I think its individualized. What I think I will say is that, "I'm working really hard." Just didn't know if others had different answers Sent from my SM-G930V using BariatricPal mobile app -

I occasionally get a sharp shooting pain after drinking. Its sharp, mostly to the left side and right under my brest bone. When this happens I stop drinking and wait a while before trying again. Sent from my SM-G930V using BariatricPal mobile app -
I found a protein shake on Amazon that has 40 grams of protein in each carton

I love them and they sell them in bulk at Sam's Club in a variety of flavors. Best bang for buck. Nashuanutrition.com also has a good variety of proteins foods. Sent from my SM-G930V using BariatricPal mobile app -

My team also advised me of this. Not only a waste in your daily intake but also on your wallet. Sent from my SM-G930V using BariatricPal mobile app
