    Banded Bikers II

    Help, My husband is getting the band - but we have a motorcycle road trip about 4 weeks after the surgery planned - we can not change the trip - due to MotoGP - but we are worried about the road trip & him riding. I had the band last year & was told 4 weeks before riding - he will 3 days short of 4 weeks at the beginning of the trip. Will we be ok? His doctor said he should be ok - but he doesn't ride.     February 2006 bandsters unite!!

    Hi Everyone, I have not posted in a long time. But, I also was banded in Feb. 2006 - on the 15th. I have lost a total of 79lbs. Was a size 26 now a 14/16 - it is great. I am closing in on being under 200lbs !!! Diane 292/213/160
  4. Hi, I was banded this year - in Phoenix, I live in Tucson. I went though Dr. Simpson in Phoenix. That is all he does - he has done hundreds of lap-bands. I am very happy with him & his staff. They do work with insurance. But, sadly I am with Blue Cross/Blue Shied & they will not pay for lap-band in Arizona. But - Dr. Simpson & crew are great. I hope this helps. Diane 2/15/06 282/235/150

    February 2006 bandsters unite!!

    Hi Everyone, I was on vacation when my 4 month anniversary hit. I was so worried about not hitting 40 lbs. My scale broke a few days before we were scheduled to leave - so I just kept hoping my weight was still going down. Anyways - I got home on the 18th - 3 days after & weighed myself - I was at 41lbs. !!! Yea - made my 1st big goal. I kept on thinking this is going to work. I was hoping to get in the 230's this week. This moring I weighed myself - it said 235 - I was thinking that I am doing something wrong - that was too much of a weight loss since last week - so I weighed myself again - still 235 !!! :eek: WOW - I am so happy only 6lbs from my lowest weight in 15yrs.     Spring Bootcamp 2006

    Hi, i joined bootcamp on the 10th of April. My starting weight was 257 - I am 253 as of this morning. Just struggling along. I go in for my second fill next week. I hope that helps. I also hurt my back/hip & my doctor had me go off the exercise until yesterday - so that should help. I am drinking the water & trying to eat right.     Hi Everyone, I just wanted to post my 2 month anniversary results. I was banded on Feb. 15th - same as Janet (Hi Janet). At my 6 weeks I went to the doctor - he did not want to do a fill yet - so my weight loss has been slow. I see him today !!! So - 26 lbs lost & 22 inches. Take care, Diane 2/15/06 282/256/150

    Hi Everyone, Yesterday was my 4 week anniversary. I love my band. I am down 21 lbs & 16.5 inches. :clap2: My only problem is that I am hungry !! I have a fill appointment on the 30th - but I am trying to get it reschduled to the 27th. I have a question - I do not have time in the morning for much of anything - it is get up - get out - I start work early - so any suggestions for breakfast at my desk??   19. hi, I had my band surgery 2-15-06 - I am ok other then a little sore under my left breast. But my question - is when I cough (I have a cold) there is a very sharp pain under my left breast between my two top incinsions. It feels like I am tearing apart my lung!! Is this normal?? But the good news - is that I went for a short motorcycle ride tonight - missed my bike !! Diane 278/262/150

    February 2006 bandsters unite!!

    Hi Janet, Yes - I got banded on the 15th also - down 9 lbs.My doctor did not have me do the pre-op liquid - so I actually gained 2 lbs before the surgery. But - at least I am going the right way now. My doctor has me on 1st week clear fluids - end today - thank god. Then 1 week full fluids - can not wait for cream of mushroom Soup - strained. The 1 week soft/mushies - the solids. Glad to hear everyone is doing well. Diane 278/269/150

    Finally Banded

    Hello, I was banded by Dr. Simpson on the 15th. His staff was great. My PCP - had me take some blood pressure meds proir to surgery - I tend to have white coat syndrome - anyways - after surgery - my blood pressure was really low - so they kep me a little longer to make sure all is well. I am home - just sore. So - how does everyone get up & down from their bed after surgery? And up & down from anywhere?? Thanks Diane 292/278/272/150:nervous
