This happens to me every month when I start my period. No getting around it. It comes off plus more the following week...or at least it has so far.. Sent from my Pixel 3 using BariatricPal mobile app

Sounds like the dreaded three week stall!! Happened to me and many people I've read had the same experience. Google it, there is tons of info! My third week was actually a GAIN [emoji30]. Then lost nothing the next week, and finally picked back up again. Your body is just adjusting. Follow the plan for food/protein and portion sizes. It helped me to watch YouTube videos of people who had their stalls and then look at their most current videos. They were all still successful. Was nice to see and made me feel better! Hang in there. I'm a slow loser and totally impatient. Sent from my Pixel 3 using BariatricPal mobile app

I can tell you I had my gallbladder removed like 20 years ago. But I totally got attacks no matter what I ate. Fatty or not. They didn't understand it. Even salads with no dressing did it. It was miserable and I hope them taking yours gets you the relief you need. [emoji6] Sent from my Pixel 3 using BariatricPal mobile app -
So seriously, it may seem stupid, but I swear...the only thing that regulates my bite size and slows me down is using baby spoons, or appetizer size utensils. Sent from my Pixel 3 using BariatricPal mobile app

I'm also a "slow" loser. I had surgery 10/22 and am at 24.6 lost 9 weeks in. I gained my fourth week in. I've lost every other week, but my body does this weird thing where one week I will lose a little, like .6 or 1.4 or something like that and then the next week is 3+ loss. Every other week. Low, high, low, high. Very weird. My body is not consistent and it's frustrating but I need to learn to be ok with the pattern so I don't feel like a failure. Stick to your program as far as protein amounts, serving sizes and calorie limits if you were given any...it will work! I keep telling myself that. 🥰 Sent from my Pixel 3 using BariatricPal mobile app

Ok so of course you should do what you feel is best for YOU. I left Facebook completely a couple of years ago and it has improved my life, seriously. Also, you know I'm local and if you want to chat face to face or anything we can do that if you don't want to be online. If you decide you want to, PM me before you leave for a bit and I'll give you my cell #. I fully believe you should do whatever helps you day to day. I took Saxenda for six months pre-surgery. It helped me to lose 33 pounds before the procedure. Well, at least 25 of that. The last 8 were lost in the two week liquid pre-op diet. I was happy with Saxenda and didn't have side effects but of course I hated the injections and worried about long term negative effects. I stopped using it the week before surgery. I was lucky to completely correct in the first two weeks. I had taken metformin for two years and victoza for one year. I stopped all meds for diabetes within a week of surgery. My blood sugar has been within normal levels both fasting and after eating. It's the best benefit of the surgery as far as I'm concerned!! Sent from my Pixel 3 using BariatricPal mobile app

I'm glad you do feel ok today! People at work are passing around a weird 24 hour stomach bug. Maybe you got something like that. Glad it's gone now [emoji6] Sent from my Pixel 3 using BariatricPal mobile app

Sad face. What kind of purees are you eating? Maybe we can think of things to add some flavor [emoji171] Sent from my Pixel 3 using BariatricPal mobile app

This is really important for us newer sleevers to hear because we are trying to gauge our success. I've realized I can't really go by what the surgeon says. At 5'3" and a starting weight of 243, he expected me to be able to lose 30+ pounds in the first six weeks. I'm sticking to plan and made it to 19.6 lost at 6 weeks. That encounter alone left me feeling like I'm failing. But I see that many people lose at a rate similar to mine, who started with similar body weight. Mine required 5 years of BMI at 40 or over. Could only be less time with Co morbid conditions. I think a lot of insurance requirements are just to get out of covering it. Sent from my Pixel 3 using BariatricPal mobile app

I know that I am super carb sensitive. I also had a week where I wanted crackers with my cheese and ate them. I had to get them out of the house. I could eat far too many and not feel anything. I know that for me, I need to stay away from refined carbs to keep the weight loss going. I could easily sabotage myself if I'm not careful Sent from my Pixel 3 using BariatricPal mobile app

I was sleeved 10/22 and have not had anything raw yet. Cooked, yes. And not mushy. Firm but cooked carrots and broccoli were fine I just had to chew them a lot lot. Sent from my Pixel 3 using BariatricPal mobile app

I'm only seven weeks post op, but I know from years of dieting that as soon as I stop measuring and logging all my food, I gain without even realizing. I know that measuring and weighing and logging has to be something I do pretty much forever to be successful. It is a pain in the ass. But I am worth it. And so are you! None of us want to make this investment of time and energy and money to gain in the end. This is a lifelong journey, and we are on it with you! I turned 41 on 10/28. I was sleeved 10/22. Doing well. Losing slowly it feels like but I feel great and am off all of my diabetes and blood pressure meds. Wish I'd done it so much sooner. Sent from my Pixel 3 using BariatricPal mobile app

You look amazing. 44 is great! Keep with the program, the stall will break. Do what you said...tighten the food and stick to what you're supposed to do and have. Measure everything. I hate stalls. Had mine three weeks in. First of several I'm sure. We are all here in the same boat at different times! [emoji106] Sent from my Pixel 3 using BariatricPal mobile app

Sounds like you are working the program and doing well! I had mine the day before yours. So I'm six weeks out and down 19.6 so far, I was 243 at surgery though so I'm not dissatisfied with the progress. Glad you said hi! This forum has been invaluable to me!
