  1. Hey friend! I'm not sure what steps your docs have done to check on the reflux problem, but if you're still having a problem after a year with no relief then it's time to ask for some action. I'm also wondering what the LB doc has suggested since you can't get restriction without getting the reflux? Did either doc do more testing to see if a hernia has developed? Have they checked to see if the esophagus is working properly and have they checked the position of the band/pouch, scope? I don't know much, but others have mentioned there are more things they can do besides just give you meds. I think I'd start with the gastro. and insist they go to the next step since the meds. aren't working. You don't want to develop Barret's esophagus from all the reflux...and you need some relief from this so you can get more restriction so your Band is working properly. If your gastro. isn't helping then maybe it's time for a second opinion. Sorry you're having this problem...keep me posted. -BG
