    Stalled since week 2

I was sleeved on 8/20. Lost 10 pounds quickly (6 days) then stalled for a week and a half. Now 21 days out I am at 16 pounds. I just started losing again a few days ago. I feel your pain.

    Sleeved 9/5/18 Still in hospital

I was sleeved 8/20. I’m at exactly 3 weeks. I hope you make it home soon. I was disappointed that my go at it wasn’t as smooth and pain free as others make it sound. But somewhere around 2.5 weeks I started feeling great. Good luck to you.
  3. Ok guys chances are I’m just letting my first stall get the better of me but I’m gonna ask a few questions please feel free to comment on any or all. I was sleeved on 8/20. I lost 24 pounds pre-op. I didn’t gain during two day stay in hospital and immediately lost 10 more the first 5 days after surgery. So that’s 35 total pounds lost. Here’s the problem. I stopped losing weight just 5 days after. For three days now I’ve been at the same weight. I NEVER hear about a first week stall so I’m worried. 1. Is it heard of to stall first week? 2. I’m 7 days post op and can already consume more than 64 ounces (which I was told to work toward) by late afternoon. Is that normal to be able to take in that much so soon. It happened gradually but I’m just scared I’ve already stretched my sleeeve. Which is probably nonsense. 3. Finally, pain. Aside from the nagging faint pain of the big incision I have, is it normal to have rolling pains occasionally from my stomach. Not abs, pretty sure this is stomach. 4. Also, what’s up with all this flatulence. When will I stop farting so much? Thanks.
  4. UGH!! some people are saying muscle milk light. It's horrible. with an aftertaste. I prefer Glucerna carbsteady. They taste like actual chocolate shakes to me and I could drink them all day.
  5. So I will be sleeved Aug 20th. Two weeks from now. I’m having issues though talking about it with people who I’m not really close to. I’m not ready to tell everyone I’m having weight loss surgery. I don’t want their opinions or reactions yet. People who ask questions at work, relatives who are close but not close-close, neighbors, people want to know why I’m eating like that, why I’m not eating at the family reunion, why I’m taking time off work etc etc. but I’m not ready for their opinions or reactions. I’m a very private person. Anyone else else deal with this? Did you just stick with saying none of our business? Or did you make up a fake procedure like I’m considering doing, or what? Please share.

    August 2018 sleeve surgery!!

I'm scheduled for August 20th. And i'm nervous about it already! about to start my pre op diet on monday.
  7. Hi Guys. Still planning for my sleeve. I know that 2-3 weeks is the ideal time to take off work for recovery and that it really just varies person to person how much time is needed. But how much time did you ACTUALLY take off. And how physical is your job? Teacher here, getting sleeved right before he new school year and I don’t wanna take the first couple weeks of the school year off. Thanks for replying.
  8. Hi Guys. This is my first post. I am a teacher and I was hoping to get the procedure done prior to the new school year starting. I last met with my doctor 3 weeks ago and the staff at the office has yet to pull everything together and send it off to carefirst for approval. Excuses of everything from the fax machine being down to not having reports from specialist yet. Be gone as far as calling those specialists and offering hand pick up and deliver what3er documents. Heres the question. Once you received approval, how soon were you able to schedule your surgery day for? I have to go back to work right after Labor Day so I know I’m pushing it. Thanks, Kenny.
