Any one use Dr. Daniel Huacuz-Tijuana?

60#s with no fills!!! That's great. I had my surgery on Feb 3rd with Dr. Huacuz. I really liked him as well as his staff. I am in the liquid diet stage and I am completely depressed because not only have I not eaten since 1 week ago, but I have no energy and I have lost NO WEIGHT!!!!! What's up with that?????? It hardly seems fair. I am concerned that something is wrong, because most people have reported that it has been really difficult for them to swallow even liquids right after their surgery, and I feel absolutely fine. I feel like I could probably eat just as I could before the surgery. What do you think, should I be concerned? AS for the weight, I'll just have to wait and see. You are definately an inspiration, keep up the great work and stay active!

    Cali Bandsters Unite!!

Hi everyone! I'm from Yorba Linda, California... I had my band put on last Friday, and I too am having a tough time with the clear liquid diet!!!! I also have some pain where the port is. Is this normal????? And most importantly WHO AND WHERE IS Dr. BILLY?????? I keep hearing about him. I was banded in Tijuana due to my low BMI, but I am contemplating trying to find a local doctor for my fills. Any suggestions? If it doesn't work out, I'll just drive back across the border for my fills and oggle Dr. Huacuz again.... That man is gorgeous!!!!!! AND I'M HAPPILY MARRIED!!! The girl who had her surgery after mine came out of her anesthesia swearing that she had just been operated on by the "Chip and Dale" guys!!! It was pretty hilarious.:couch2:

    3-week liquid postop course?

Wow! I have not heard about the milkshake thing. Have you tried it? Does it go down well? I'm debating trying the baby food route... have you tried anything other than clears yet?

    3-week liquid postop course?

Hey Kelli! Same situation here. I had my surgery on February 3rd and I am STARVING!!! No real food since Thursday has been quite a challenge. I was under the impression that you wouldn't be hungry for a few weeks afer. That was so not the case for me. The broth seems to work best, but anything I eat runs right through me. Good luck and keep in touch

    Liquid diet stage

Hello... thanks for the suggestions. I have been drinking gatorade which is great, but it does not keep the hunger pains away. How soon before I can begin protein shakes. Can I drink slim fast? Other than the hunger... I really am feeling pretty good. It is sometimes difficult to go from sitting to standing, but luckily I think I am managing pretty well. I do have a bloated abdomen, but lucky me,,, I got my period the day after my surgery. UGH! Are you both happy with the results you've had? Anything else I should know?

What Will It Take (warning - long!)

Wow! If you could read my mind!!!! What a wonderfully eloquent way to ask the question that has plagued me for years. My surgery is TOMORROW!!!! I drive to Tijuana in the morning! I will let you know how it goes.. in the meantime, I must take the testimonials I have read here as proof that there is hope for us. In the meantime, Put... the.... Chips.... Back!!!!! I plumped up 10 disgusting pounds with the knowledge of my impending surgery!!!!!!!!!! It really is pathetic. Wish me luck.

    I'm just a blubbering idiot!

Hey Gadgetlady... I too am from Orange County However, I don't qualify for surgery in the US... so on Feb. 3rd.... Friday I off to Tijuana for my surgery. You want to talk about scary! I also feel bad that I am not telling my children or my parents or inlaws where I am going or why... I guess I am just afraid that everyone will try to talk me out of it. I think the letters is a wonderful gesture... although most likely not necessary... even so... I think you should keep the letters and give them to the children when they are older... so they know how much you thought of them. Anyway, nice to have someone so close going through the same experience:) Good luck!

Any one use Dr. Daniel Huacuz-Tijuana?

Missy4Gordon, I am scheduled to have my surgery on Friday, January 3rd. I have noticed several of your threads. It seems that you are pleased so far.... would you recommend Dr. Huacuz? Have you had any complications, discomfort or frustrations throughout this experience? Any regrets? I too am using Dr. Huacuz and I hate reading some of these negative threads about him.... should I be alarmed?
  10. Thank you so much for your support. I really hope I am making the right decisions and don't end up with any complications! Your words were reassuring. I'll keep you posted.
  11. Imalean, I scheduled to have my surgery with Dr. Huacuz... but I am having second thoughts and considering Dr. Kuri or Dr. Ortiz instead... any ideas on who might be a better choice?
