  1. @megan right I love food n just wanted some control too. I’ll check out whole30. I’m already pretty much doing Keto but all this protein is making my breath smell awful. Thks for suggestions.
  2. @dixiesadd maybe it’s a vitamin deficiency or something like. When it’s that time of the month I crave beef. I realized I was craving it because my iron was low. Not sure what chocolate has in term of vitamins or minerals though. Just a thought.

  4. @Megan done that n when I make them they just aren’t very good. I mean there ok but I guess my taste buds are different now. I look at some foods n the sight of them makes me nauseous. It’s crazy.
  5. Can’t seem to find anything that I want to eat. Since surgery, food just doesn’t taste the same or make me feel the way I use to. I’m not excited about eating anymore. Everything I eat taste uneventful except mthe broiled salmon I make w New Orleans seafood seasoning n olive oil n cream spinach. That’s all that comes close. I use to go out a lot to brunch n dinner w friends for cocktails but not anymore. I have no desire. I have to find some new hobbies. I feel like I’m missing out but am still reminding myself why I had the surgery.

    I’m starving

    Sugar free jello got me through. It’s very filling.
  7. Ok anyone tried the Wegmans brand sugar free dark chocolate pudding. It’s to die for. It’s helping w my chocolate cravings.
  8. Yeah but now that I see how the weight dropped by drinking water I’m all in now. I’ve started marking my water bottle with times of the day so I can keep on track. I also drink bai n add Walmart brand crystal light to water. I love strawberry watermelon n raspberry lemonade flavors.
  9. I also found out I was severely dehydrated and constipated. I took miralax and had the worse gas pains. I had to take an enema for relief. After that, pain went away and I was able to then the weight dropped. Dr said the stall was due to lack of fluids and constipation. So when I got home I started pushing the fluids down n he was right stall no more. He also told me to stay away from miralax n to try senokot and colace.

  11. My 2 wk stall just ended. I’m down 7.9lbs. I’m so happy.
  12. I’m 6wks post op n 3 wks into mushy stage of food. I’m worried. They said only eat 1/4 cup=2oz but last night I was able to eat 8.7oz. I ate the entire Real Good pepperoni pizza that has the chicken breast as the crust. It’s a small personal size but after the surgery I wouldn’t think that I should be able to eat the entire pizza. Maybe 1/4 of it but not whole thing. I was able to eat it without any discomfort. I’ve stopped losing weight too. I haven’t lost anything in 2 wks. I’m starting my step aerobic routine n resistance bands for strength training tomorrow but I’m concerned more about the amount I can eat n wonder if I’m doing something wrong or if I’ve stretched my pouch out already.
  13. Need some mushy food phase ideas. I know about eggs, tuna, salmon, yogurt, cottage cheese but looking for some other ideas.
  14. @Biddy zz thks. Those r great suggestions. I just need to get it together n regroup. I need to do more meal planning. Yes that “Real Good Pizza co.” is a once n awhile thing but it’s basically no carbs which is why so many people r eating it especially those on Keto diets but yes I’m sure plenty of additives. Definitely no clean eating.

  16. I’ve adhered to the 30/30 rule no fluids or food 30 minutes from each other. Maybe I’m waiting too late to eat n by them I’m starving. Water...I can’t get all my fluids in anymore. I can drink 2 premier protein drinks n a Bai but it’s a struggle. I barely can get in the 64oz of water. Maybe I can get in 32oz by the end of the night but that’s if I stay up longer. But when it comes to food I feel like I can eat way too much.
  17. @Ed_NW ok cool. Thks for explaining. I know I should only eat 1/4 but I want more n I thought my new pouch wouldn’t be able to allow me to eat more than I’m supposed to. The REAL GOOD pizza brand is a pizza made from chicken breast no dough. The dough crust part of the pizza is actually a flattened chicken breast. It’s soft n can be cut w a fork. My dr said I could eat chicken as long as I could smash it w a fork n to chew until it’s applesauce consistency. Maybe this isn’t what they meant when they said cut or smash w a fork. Oops. LOL.

    Thks. My husband wants me to try a support group. I’m going Thursday after work but I’m getting better. I made dinner for 1st time since surgery for my family last night. I figured the trick. I ate my dinner before I started cooking. I felt myself. Now I’m dealing w a 1 week stall didn’t expect it this soon but I’m starting my exercises n weights this week now that I’m 6 wks post op. I’m sure that will break it. I’ve also noticed my skin isn’t firm anymore. It’s softer n squeashy. Although I was big I had a lot of firmnessnow that gone so I’ve got to begin weight lifting to firm it back up some. I’m also doing a body skin routine to help like using coconut oil wash oil n body scrub to side in firming my skin. I’m also using Nivea’s firming products. I got my resistance ropes last weekend n will start using those tonight.

  23. I’m 4 wks post op n I’m always hungry now. I’m craving hot dogs, burgers n fries. I feel ashamed when I indulge even if it’s a few bites. Any suggestions on how to stop these cravings or on how I can stay full. I have 60 g protein daily n shakes n protein w breakfast lunch n dinner n I’m still hungry. I also can eat more than 1/4 cup of food. I can eat almost a 1/2 cup. That doesn’t seem normal. I’m ashamed.
  24. I’m starting to do this now. I just thought it was me. Glad to hear others r going through it. To stop I keep saying yo myself that I don’t want to go backwards.
