My date is September 7, 2018 I'm super excited and can't wait to be over the 2-3 week mark, I stopped coffee myself because I know those headaches can be a monster, I've purchased wrap ice pack not sure if I'll need but, we can use one in the house regardless, I purchased a compression wrap, but need to check with doctor if I can use it. Purchased two different types of vitamins just in case one doesn't agree with me, a smart water bottle that remind me to drink by lighting up and anything else I'll need I will get once I finish up my testing on August 17th this will most likely be clear liquids, broths, 2-3 cases of water. I also purchased Gas X which I may purchase something else after getting these I realized I've used before and they did not agree with my stomach, I purchased Bio oil for scar's and Biotin for hair. Also, portion control containers. I use Baritastic app on my phone for checklist, reminders, weight, recipes and etc.

Sariejack, I don't know if your a Christian or even a Religious person, but if your afraid don't be think positive and just before going in you can read this prayer: Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me all the day's of my life. (Psalm 23:4) and Sign off with GOD Protect Me through this Surgery and in my Life. In Jesus Name Amen. Note: Change the way you think and Change Your Life. Think good thoughts you will be ok its normal to be nervous, but you WILL be ok.

But any who congrats on the upcoming surgery you will do great, I’m scheduled for September 7, 2018 excited. As far as the question although, I haven’t had the surgery I think you should check with your surgeon on this because everyone’s doctors are different and do different things.

No nerves here, unsure why maybe because I've had a surgery before such as Breast Lift and Augmentation, so with saying that go into it as positive as possible ladies we will all be ok and get through this with no issues or complication, IN JESUS NAME..AMEN.. I'm so excited I got a date and to me it was super fast seen doctor Tuesday the 24th June and schedule for September 7th. I'm sure nerves will kick in as I get closer but happy to have a date it now feels official. Praying that my PCP give me the approval without issue and that all my testing and things associated with the Surgery come back timely without issues that there be a none interrupted surgery date, that the surgeon be in good spirits that day, that there are no issues during surgery and that I be complication free and in the least amount of pain and that I heal properly and quickly without all the sickness "Lord", these are my prayers. In Jesus name!

I'm so happy to hear that and if you fall off one day just get back up don't stay down there just get back up and remember your worth it don't give up on YOU!

I haven't had the surgery but I will say this to you 1st positive thinking is imperative, 2nd remember where you were and how much you disliked it and maybe put up some pictures to remind yourself how much you don't want to be there again, 3rd you have done a great job at losing 90 lbs, 4th STOP now with the eating poorly and get back to maybe the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd week post op eating and attempt to maybe take a walk when the parents are eating poorly, also you can prep your meals a day a head and after your walk and they've eaten you can have your dinner that you prepped. 5th Last but not least quit beating up on yourself remember the sleeve is just a tool you had to be doing something to lose that 90 pounds ok. Now Good luck to you my BPal and you got this remember that and repeat it to yourself when you get up in the mornings that your worth getting to your goal and loving yourself into the best you, you can be. Yes I think letting your children know is important just in case you have and complications God forbid I pray all goes well but, tell them and let them know your only telling them to not discuss it with others as you’d prefer it that way.

Your looking great! At what point did you start working out? I know my doctor will ok this for me when the time is right but I just want to know.

For me the Orbera balloon was a waste of money but that’s for me soon as I got it out I could look at food the wrong way and gain weight but, I’ve only heard of one maybe two fatalities so, unsure about many dying from it but $8900 gone for me and that I’m sure of, I’m  getting the sleeve now waiting doctors appointment for the endoscopy, psychologist, EKG & dietitian, I’m self pay due to my insurance will not cover me at 198lbs/35.2 BMI. $16k is my cost but if you just want to stay local try doctor Pleatman in Bloomfield, MI $11,200.00 that’s everything and if you have a hernia he will fix if at no extra cost. You can look up most any US doctor at Ratemd.com and it will let you know their history even if they’ve had issues with fatalities. Also do your research. The only reason I did not use doctor Pleatman is because I want to do it near home.

So I went into my 1st consult today nervous as heck because the first place I went to said even though I'm self pay they would have to check with the Doctor and Finance dept. due to my BMI only being 35-ish and my weight 198.8 lbs this was yesterday and I was so pissed, because I just didn't and still don'g understand why you have to get sick before they will approval you, which is what I'm trying to prevent from weight. My mother and most of her side of the family have suffered illnesses due to being overweight and her and a few of her siblings have passed away with these issues and it was mainly due to their weight that caused the health issues. Nonetheless, I remember my mother telling me and my sisters some time before she died to please never let out weight get out of control because its caused her so much grief with her health. So of course I see myself getting bad off and try to prevent it to only be told a possible NO by the first doctors office, but the prayers of two are more always have been in my grace and calling those things as though they are have surely helped, so back to the story I was talking to a lady that I've been chatting with on this site and asked her to pray with me and rather she did or didn't she was very positive and said it will be ok and it would go better at this second appt. today and BOY or BOY was she right and I thank God for her and this site because I was LIVID yesterday to the point of crying, but ranting to her helped me calm down and realize who " has the final yes or no to my life and situation and that would be "GOD"he will align things according to his will. I truly feel now that it wasn't meant for me to get the yes from the 1st doctors office not that I got a NO, but this is the main doctor that I wanted to say yes this appt. from today and he did even though I was keeping my options open in case he said no and he said YES! I'm so happy. He meaning the doctor said he mainly want me to do the Endoscopy and if that is good and for me to get a release from the PCP and he will move forward with my surgery. Also, the 2nd part of this good news is I though the it would cost around $28k because of what the first placed told me and so I planned for that only to find out from this second doctor t today that it would be in the range of $16k plus the cost of the Endoscopy maybe another $3k-4k unsure of the cost of those anyway it would be nice if my insurance could be billed for that but, I'm not sure I have to find out when they call me with my first appt. and they also, setup all the appts. such as Psychologist, Dietician, EKG & Labs and the Endoscopy for me so I'm believing and trusting that all that will be fine since I don't have any issues or co-morbidies which is why my insurance wouldn't cover it however back in 2011 I had acid reflux he want to ensure all is good with that I'm sure it is as my doctor took me off the meds for this and late 2011 only on meds for a few months before it was better, but I did stop eating tangy foods which I think helped me. So I just wanted to share my story and say how thankful I am for this site and the wonderful people I've encountered on it. I won't mention the lady name but I'll say thanks BUNNY you know who you are! WHEN PRAYERS go UP BLESSINGS COME DOWN! 😀 Sorry in advance for any typo's, I was ECSTATIC when typing.

There is a such thing as the HIPPA law and you simply don’t have to say anything about your surgery and that’s the law, but if you feel you should tell your supervisor then you can say I’m having a female surgery or gallbladder surgery not naming what your having and they actually don’t suppose to really lawfully ask what. It’s NONE OF THEIR DANG BUSINESS! Don’t feel obligated to discuss your medical records with co workers even your boss!

Oh and by the way Dr. V. Vong is great to watch he even explain the science of working out after surgery and to me it makes perfect sense bu, you judge for yourself.
