i am quite surprised to hear that golden coral did you that way. i go there quite frequently for lunch. the gc in my area offers carryout for lunch at 3.99 per pound. i can get a piece of grilled meat and a serving of veggies, or a salad for less that $2. i have become a 'regular' in the place and all of the employees and managers know me, and my band. they are quick to oblige me, and when i show up there with my hubby or kids to sit down for lunch, they usually don't even charge me. (and i don't take advantage of that. i make myself a (banded) normal size meal of foods that i know i will eat. i always order iced tea when we sit down for a meal there, because i know that they won't charge me for my meal. i guess the managers have the authority to apply these 'company policies' at their discretion.

Need help finding people who make the wooden part of guns
mini_me replied to Wheetsin's topic in The Lounge
hey wheets, these guys here have everything from power tools and saws to jeweling tools, leather working, woodworking, you name it. they have just about anything you can imagine. they have to have the proper custody status, they must have a clear disciplinary history, etc, and they are only allowed to possess/store the items in the designated area, called the craftshop. tell the asst warden that i am speaking from texas, and he will probably be aware of the capabilities of the offenders here. we have a very large prison system. (2nd largest in the world? i think) the offenders at the units where i have worked have crafted saddles, boots, etc for president george bush and george w for many many years. there are even celebrities from time to time that make orders(usually because they are sympathetic to the plight of an offender whose guilt may be questionable). let me know if i can put you in touch with someone. any decision to allow work is ultimately at the discretion of the warden. it would probably serve warden dad to call himself and identify himself by title (warden). there is a bit of a kinship among wardens. good luck. btw-great story! -

seriously, you would be surprised. in addition, the offenders will often have authorization to make molds, take measurements, etc in secure situations. i have seen offenders handling all kinds of stuff you would never imagine. so, no, while they would not have the whole gun, but believe me, they have everything they need within the walls of a prison to come up with components of a firearm. worrying about them having a part of a weapon in a controlled setting is much less worrisome than some of the stuff that we have found hidden within the compounds. those fellas are quite crafty, it is a shame that they did not put their talents to better use!! -

:think hey all. i have been around, just quiet. tricia k missed me, but noone else i guess. ((poor poor me)) i have not seen any change in inches or pounds since june 5. i am really ready to see some change. my calories are in the 800-1200 range daily. i am not exercising the way i should, and i don't want to get beat up for that. i know that i have to exercise. as long as i am losing weight, i am always able to find the motivation to exercise, but when i am seeing no difference, it makes me stop exercising. i am tracking the calories on fitday. i have tried to allow all foods (within reason) in strict moderation. i guess that works for a little while, and maybe now i need to be stricter. i have had a REALLY hard time not drinking with meals. i feel choked if i dont drink. i don't feel restriction, but i do feel a little 'stuck' from time to time. i want to go for a fill, but if i go in and they tell me my restriction is where it should be, then it will just be another negative blow. my last fill was june 19, i am at 2.3/4cc. ok, i could go on forever. i just need a little support. any kind words? ((or tough love from vines?))

thanks kathy!! i go to the doc on friday, it will probably be late next week before any results come back, but i will be in touch. thanks friend!

MAN, am i overwhelmed with support your responses!! thank you all soooo much!! i am going to the general practitioner on friday, i am going to get him to check my thyroid levels. i am also going to talk to him about some other issues that maybe getting me 'down' emotionally. maybe some girly issues? Mom had to have a hysterectomy at 35. i am 32. maybe things are changing hormonally. i am interested in teaming up for some diet/exercise changes. i am going to keep looking at this thread for the plan. ((since i obviously do not know what i am doing, i must take the advice of others)) after the doctor visit on friday, i am going to call and schedule an appointment for a fill. i am going to make sure the fill is after my blood test results are back--in case there are thyroid issues. THANK YOU ALL SOOO MUCH FOR THINKING ENOUGH OF MY SITUATION TO TAKE THE TIME TO RESPOND. YOU ALL ARE GREAT!

thanks wheets, i always look forward to your advice. i did not think about doing liquids again. i also had not considered solid Proteins over liquid proteins. thanks!

i have really been pondering this for a couple of weeks. i think i may go in for a little bit of a fill, and if they won't fill me, maybe i can get some good guidance from them. i am reading every response on here. i appreciate your support and/or advice.

thanks for your words. i will keep plugging away. i know how i feel at 180---i feel pretty derned good at 180. that is just 10 more lbs...and if i could just get ten more lbs off my behind, i know that i would be soooo happy and confident. someone would have to drag me off the treadmill.

help? anyone?

sometimes i think that i would do it again...other times i feel very disappointed. i am not gaining though, so i don't think it was a mistake. however, i had hope to lose a little more than 13 lbs since surgery day.((i lost 4 lbs preop))

hey wheets... if you do not have any luck, you sure fire shot(npi) is to call the prisons. if you don't have any luck where you are, i can give you some numbers of some prisons in texas. i have worked for tdcj for over 10 years. many of the units have craftshops that the offenders use for income. you can almost bet money that you can find an offender to make absolutely anything. -
i went with dr. spivak. $15k covered everything. i am in great health, just obese, so i did not have any pre-op testing. there were absolutely no other expenses. the $15k truly covered everything. good luck
