ok, i just read carla's reply....i was close... and.......recently, my friend and i were singing old country songs just for fun...boredom...and we went to signing "Gold Kentucky Rain." i think elvis sang it...but her mom heard us and died laughing before correcting us...it was "COLD kentucky rain." we thought it meant he was taking a piss. i will definitely have to get back on this thread at a later time, when i am not on a work computer....i can think of some funny ones that i sang as a child.

i think that was phil collins, i dont know how to spell it, but it is a foreign word that has a meaning, i just cant remember..."currier" keer-ee-yay lays upon the road that i must travel. "****" lays upon the darkness of the night. something like that.....correct me if i am wrong.

Am I the only one who........................ When I read Jack's posts, I imagine the guy behind the fence that Tim "The Tool Man" Taylor always talked to for no-nonsense advice. I even imagine Jack behind a lbt fence, talking to us in a calm, rational, FATHERLY, authoritative voice. Thanks, Jack, for your great words of wisdom. One day, Jack will be written about in the books of lap band support with a reverence that will rival that of Plato and Socrates. Love you Jack!!!

well, i did not really set goals for six months, 12 months etc. but i am down 23 lbs, currently i am at 184, and i am thrilled about it! i was on a june 1-sept 20 virtual plateau when i got this last fill. now i am losing again. 19 more lbs puts me at 165, which is still big for me, as i am 5'1", but that is the weight that i said i would be content with if that is all the band allowed me to lose.

ok, so we had the towel wrap around NSV, and the shoelaces tied on TOP of the shoe instead of on the side of the shoe NSV, and now............................................... (((((((((((((((((((((((((((((DRUMROLL PLEEZ))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) today, while sitting at my job(saltmines), pleasantly minding my own business in my cubicle, it occurs to me that my thighs are no longer wedged under my keyboard. i have, in the past, had my chair adjusted to the lowest setting...i might as well have been sitting on the floor...and the keyboard slide out little tray thingy set to the highest setting...which meant that when the thighs and the keyboard were aligned just right, it would often bump against the bottom of my desk top, sometimes completely ruining my document and sometimes my settings on my computer....errrhhhhgggg!! i had not even noticed that it was not happening anymore, until today!!! who would have thought that this would mean something to me??!! I never even considered it before!! anyone else have this NSV??!!
-
i find myself sitting on less "junk" also jack!!! congrats on YOUR nsv!!

HEY DREWSLOU... that really sounds like the pain i have, right side waist line...hmmm...hope it gets better! mystery pains are the worst!!
-
i have a pain similar to what you describe when i get a fill. it occurs after eating...not an overfilled sort of restriction pain, but more like a severe gas pain that stays in one specific place and intensifies so much that i am certain it is not gas. i tend to get these pains for about two weeks after a fill, then they stop, and i usually feel the need to have a fill within a couple of days.
-
yes, the first year of fills for self-pay patients are done with flouro...

This May Very Well Be The ***only*** Pics That We Don't Want To Resize. Even In Monster-sizes, She Is Still Beautiful...don't Dare Put The Oversize Pic Of One Of Us Up There....lol....but She Can *definitely* Pull It Off...
-
NICOLE!! she is BEAUTIFUL...and SO ARE YOU!!! she is absolutely darling...and if you knew ME, you would know that i usually just reserve my comments on the "cuteness" of a baby that small...as many of them are only "cute" to mom and dad for the first few weeks. NOT THIS BABY!!! she is completely perfect!!! i know, i know...all babies are beautiful...BUT YOURS IS THE BEAUTIFUL-EST-EST!!!!!!!! SOMEONE GO GRAB THIS BABY THE FIRST PLACE TROPHY!!! I CAN'T GET THE POP UPS ON THE WORK COMPUTER!!!

((innocent eyes)) bumping for fun... karik and karen, it is good that you were satisfied with dr. spiegel. i think the whole idea of this thread was to post your individual experience with your prefered doctor--and you did that wonderfully. unfortunately it kind of turned into a slugfest of people who favored dr. spiegel vs. those who did not(for whatever reason) I could have gone with spiegel if i had woken up in a different mood onthe day i decided which doc to use. it just so happened that i prefered spivak on the day in question. btw everyone---i had my biggest loss in lbs between fills yesterday. since my previous fill one month ago, i lost 4lbs. ((in case you are not familiar with my situation, i am a SSLOWW loser)) -

bless your heart! i am so glad you are ok now. good luck on your journey...maybe the day will come when this seems all worthwhile.

AAAHHHHHHHHHHHH---ladies, thanks for noticing. i relayed this incident to my friend, butterfly1973, as my most significant NSV...and it has NOTHING to do with weight or inches or being over to tie my shoes...and the laces being on the top of the shoe instead of the sides....aahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!

oh, my...these things are going to be my downfall. i peel the chocolate off and eat the peanutbutter. i love that damned Peanut Butter. you cant get it in a jar like that(thank goodness). anyone have any reece's peanut butter cup eradication ideas?

this is the kind of arguments that my children make when the find themselves argued into a corner...and add to that that they have usually argued themselves into the corner with their own words...but... so anyway, again, size 8, we are glad to have you and would love to hear about your story, but spare us the whole tlc @ tlc (??!!) the peeps here who love him, don't need convincing, and the people who have not been treated as they expected...arent going to change their mind due to used-to-be-obese-and-now-i-am-not cheerleader is chanting "T-L-C"
