I, too, thought it was strange seeing kellie with less makeup on her eyes. She really has kind of beady eyes. I am with the consensus that she needs to go, but votefortheworst.com has all of their fan base votes going for her. I think Elliott will likely go, poor fella. But I am going to keep my fingers crossed for Kellie to go tonite. I am so fond of Chris that I cannot objectively say who did the best anymore. I just love his style. Then again, that is the kind of music i listen to. If Chris was not in the competition, I think I would be rooting for Taylor and Katherine.

Is ultraset a prescription drug? My ob/gyn gave me darvocet when i was pregnant because I would have RLS so severely that I would not sleep for several days at a time. The darvocet put me to sleep, but when I tried to resume normal operations without the darvocet, I found that I was dependent on the drug to fall asleep period. There was no emotional addiction, but I was definitely physically addicted. The thought of being addicted to a prescription pain pill really scares me. I have been very hesitant to to use painkillers to treat the condition. Melatonin works most of the time, but I get really bad dreams that I cannot seem to wake up from. I am really curious about the new drug specifically for this condition.

This Was My Biggest Whining Issue After Surgery!! I Had TROUble laying on my side and stomach for a good week. then about the middle of week two i was able to sleep on my side//stomach. so i say two weeks and you should be able to sleep comfortably again. fyi-my port is in the upper center line of my abdomen, below my diaphram. sounded awkward to me at first too, but i would not have it any other place now that i am used to it.

i was filled at the SurgiCenter in Houston. the lady took my weight, bp, asked questions about diet, exercise, etc. I went into a room with a doctor, a technician, the big xray machine, and the table. i laid on the table, raised my shirt to expose my port site. the doc looked at all of my incisions and declared an art-full result. the doc felt for the port, asked if i was ready, when i said yes, she inserted the needle. this was less painful than the last time an ant bit me. there was no local used, and i recently had local, so the pain of THAT needle and medicine is fresh on my mind. this needle did not hurt NEARLY as bad as the local does. my port is very near the to the surface. she put in 1.5 cc's, i got up and stood in front of the xray, and swallowed barium. she had to pull out .2cc's because 1.5cc had me completely blocked. she watched the barium, then had me swallow another dose of barium while she watched. there was LOTS of chit-chat and small talk while all of this was going on(this helped to distract me). then i had to drink about 4-5 oz of Water before i could leave. i was very thirsty so that was a breeze. i sipped cautiously at first, but then remembered that i had watched the barium pass and a rate that would allow drinking a normal size drink((the new normal that is)). i have not FELT the restriction yet, but I am not interested in testing my limits. I am on soft foods til tomorrow. i have already notice that i am not nearly as hungry as i was. YIPPPIIEEEEEEEEEE!! I woke up this morning at 198.8, so i have now caught back up with my ticker!! i have to back off the scales now. i am not going to weigh again until monday! luv ya #2!!! roni
-
not to my knowledge...but i actually think my clothes weighed more than 2 lbs. i wore my chukkas today and they weigh a pound each!! well, #2, I am confident that my weight will be moving fast now. i was already starting to lose again. it took two weeks, but here is how my weight loss went..... week one---liquids and mushies-i wasnt very hungry, lost from 203.7 on surgery day, down to 198. week two---mushies, and cheated with solids chewed well, maintained loss. week three---went to the doctor who authorized moving to solids--gained back up to 203. week four---gradually lost a pound and a half over the week, 201.5:clap2: currently in week five---down another pound and a half, 200.:clap2: ok, i guess it is just about time to set a mini-goal for mini_me...how does 195 sound for me? is this too small of a goal? what do you think ?
-
well, i got 1.3cc's and i weighed 201.3 on their scales with shoes and fully clothed. my scales at home, naked said 199. (i think i like mine better) the fill was SOOOOO easy. i know that not everyone's is so easy, but I HAVE THE BEST SURGEON! good luck to all of you march bandsters, first fills all april long!!
-
hey fellow bandsters!! i am four weeks out on monday, april 10. i whined and fretted with all of the same complaints i am reading here for a good 2 weeks. before i knew it, i was feeling great!! i was definitely on the verge of insanity with the "what have i done" syndrome. it will get better!! Hang in there friends!!
-
i am brand new, so i cant say from personal experience. however, seems like i have read people discussing this phenomena occurring with the band. have you tried searching LBT for other people's experiences?

Hey Kathy!! I do not know how I missed these posts. I scheduled my first fill week before last, the schedule was really full. I was able to schedule on April 12, but I know that the schedule is still full. They told me to make sure that, in the future, I call as soon as I have indication that I need a fill. As far as eating in the amount of time you have for lunch...the nurses told me to stop eating after 20 minutes...regardless of what is left on my plate. That is easier said than done. I have a job where I can sit at my desk and eat while I work. I usually eat one chicken strip for lunch, with a spoonful of cooked veggie, and an ounce of dressing to dip the chicken into. (I work next door to a Golden Coral...cheesy, I know, but you CAN eat cheap there. $1-$1.50/day.) Well, Kathy, did you schedule the fill for the 27th? I know I read someone had scheduled then, was it you? GOSH-I wish I had told you to schedule earlier...I knew I should have sent you a message. ((kicking self)) Take care Kathy, we will talk later!

i am in the same boat, banded 3 weeks ago yesterday, and i am STARVING...!!! I am trying to keep my calories to 1000-1200 but i am about to hit my limit. i am scheduled for my first fill next wednesday...just eight more days!!!
