I think I'm done. But how do I stop?!
Cynisca replied to Screwballski's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Put protein powder in your snacks and food. It will bump it. -
Sleeved July 23rd down 27lbs since surgery day. Feeling great! Still on puree for one more week at least...I'm doing mostly fish purees like Shrimp salad and cod in V8 juice. It gives massively high protein intake. Have been doing aout 10,000 steps a day and was cleared 4 days ago to do 30 minutes of cycling per day (thank god I was going mad).

Help! Need to get out of my head. :(

Are you working with a psychologist at all? I'm working with one and I have to say it's the best decision I've made. What got us into this place is way more complex than getting sleeved. Just a suggestion. -
1/4 of the pizza....16 Grams of fat. 240 calories. and 30% sodium........ some of them go all the way up to 21 grams of fat. I think using the recipes posted is the way to go, a lot healthier.

For me it was day 7 that I was hitting 10,000 steps a day. Day 4 I was about 3000 steps. Until today 17 days out I didn't have the strength to walk up steep hills. Just got cleared to do 30 minutes a day of outdoor cycling on flat roads starting tomorrow along with 10,000 steps a day.

I had them post surgery at the hospital. As gross as it sounds they were amazingly effective.

Preparing for the dead😮
Cynisca replied to Beautfully Flawed's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Just had surgery the 23rd. Hit 10,000 steps a day on day 10. It's more the energy to do more. I really don't have anything left after that. I was fairly active before so I really am looking forward to doctors giving me the green light. -
7 months post VSG I did a Sprint Triathlon
Cynisca replied to Espen's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Congrats!!!!! I'm going to embrace triathlons too ! -
I only had surgery Monday and I am waking up almost every 2 hrs at night and then fully at 4am. Can't explain why. I used to sleep on my stomach so I keep thinking that it's just even odd to sleep on my back. I just go for a walk at 4am outside and then usually I can bang out another 2hrs sleep when back.

Did I even just have gastric bypass
Cynisca replied to nevertoolate's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
So you had a placebo surgery lol. Kidding! I had surgery July 23rd and only yesterday reached 800 ml of liquids. Good for you....sounds like a unicorn stomach! -
Got it! I have Yogurt as a snack and cottage cheese on week 4 yet oatmeal right away. But the oatmeal is blended and watered down with almond milk so it's like a soup. It's so strange to read all the different courses doctors have asked us to follow :).
-
Just curious...what did they tell you to eat then for breakfast if not oatmeal?

How often do you weigh yourself?
Cynisca replied to Tracy1978's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I signed up for a 6 month post surgery program with nurses and nutrtionists. They gave me a bluetooth scale, fitbit, and online tracker. We are going to weigh once a week. They said it's 100% normal to not lose a lot of weight right after surgery for some people so don't worry -
Post op day 2 surgery Wednesday. Need support regretting.
Cynisca replied to newmeinfla's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I had my surgery Monday and the regrets happened right away. i totally get it. For me, it was thinking what did I just do to my body, the pain was intolerable. Only on day 3 out (yesterday) did I start to feel better and move around a lot more. Today, day 4 out of surgery I am doing about 3700 steps a day, pain is much better, consuming my liquids and clear foods. Stay strong and move and get those fluids in you. -
I'm July 23rd in Quebec, Canada ....day 3 of 2 weeks of pre op shakes!
