Sorry to hear this, tifme. This happened to me. I had my surgery in 2011 and about a year ago after not getting a fill for a year, all of a sudden I was getting stuck and getting "slime bubbles" and having horrible acid reflux. After a few visits to my lap-band doctor (not my original surgery doctor), he said it was the type of band I have (the REALIZE band) and that most patients he has seen with this type of band are having it removed. Ugh. I had my band completely let out about 6 months ago and miss the restriction but I think I am going to have it removed. After consulting with the doctors and with my husband, this may be the better move for me with all the issues I had with the band. I'm sad but excited about what lies ahead. Wishing you all the best.

I feel for you as I am stuck at my desk most of the day as well. I have my stand-up desk which I try to keep up at least half the day and I've started doing leg lifts while typing. I have to get back to using MyFitnessPall to track intake of food. I also use a fitbit but it is only set to 6000 steps a day so I should probably ramp that up. When I was pre-op and had trouble getting out to exercise due to some other health issues, I used dvds and downloads from chairdancingfitness.com (video samples link) to help me get a few minutes in at work and I still use her workouts. I downloaded a couple of her videos from my Amazon.com account so I have them accessible on my phone. I also purchased some of her slimbell weights (3 and 2 pounds) so I keep them at my desk and either mix/match weights depending on the exercise. I emailed their customer service a lot and got to know them so they gave me a discount code that doesn't expire that is 25% off products - MYPAL25 Hope this helps. We're all in this together!

Keeping the weight off after lap-band removal support thread
HeyMissMay replied to SElaine's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I am going to have my lap-band removed due to severe gastritis and I'm afraid. No surgery date for removal scheduled yet. They have let all of the fluid out and I have gained back 25 pounds. I need to get back on track and really watch portion sizes. I know exercise has been hard for me but I've started doing exercise DVDs at home - particularly, ChairDancingFitness.com (I provided a hotlink if you want to view the workout samples) DVDs. I like Jodi Stolove's approach and I do most of the exercises standing but it does help to do some seated and I only need to give up 25 minutes of my time. I downloaded some of her videos from Amazon.com and so I have them on my phone or computer when I need them. I needed something to get me started until I could get motivated.
