I’m late but good luck @zerocool today!!

Yea I am feeling good! There was definitely some rumbling and gas but not much else so I think it was a success 😀

So happy you are feeling better!! I moved on to soft foods today because my Nutrionist told me I could do it as soon as I got home from the hospital, I just wasn’t ready until now. I had a 2 oz cup of sabra hummus so I am hoping it sits well!

I am not too bad I left the hospital yesterday but I was walking a lot the first day and yesterday though I couldn’t pass any gas, only burp. Today has been alittle better in that regard but I still have a lot of pressure in my chest and some shoulder pain. I am not hungry either, they gave me two meals at the hospital yesterday of broth, isopure, jello, a popsicle and tea. I had a few bites of broth and was able to finish one isopure. Today I am drinking a premier protein, i tried to do jello but that hurt alittle. Also trying to take in my water I am just going very slow with everything. I know these days of pain will be worth it though!

Sorry to hear that! I had my surgery Monday too, how are you feeling today?
-
I had my surgery at 10 am today it went really well!! When I woke up I was very nauseous and threw up/coughed up blood a few times (sorry tmi but wanted to share my experience) they stated that was normal because of the tube in my throat. I also had bad chest gas pain so I started walking about 45 minutes after surgery in the recovery room. The nurses were pretty surprised so I guess that’s good 😀 then they moved me up to my room where I walked again, since then I have switched between walking and sleeping most of the time and I am having very little gas now and my stomach pain is very small, about a 2 out of 10. I am so happy with my experience so far! I felt bad for my neighbor as they had the surgery as well and were begging for food or water. I am not sure they understood they wouldn’t be eating today. But I haven’t felt hungry yet! I brought dry mouth spray and that has been a life saver!

My sleeve surgery is on Monday the 13th! Starting my two day clear liquids only today! The two week pre op diet was difficult mentally more than physically but I am so excited to be moving to the next stage and so nervous for surgery -
August 13th for the sleeve pending approval!

Help!!! Need advice on telling people they are fat!

Let me just mention: please do not send in another physician to give this talk if you are too busy...she asked first and I said ok so it is partly my fault but I didn’t really know we were going into the weight , this guy came in, got my name wrong, and once I corrected him proceeded to give me the speech on being obese. Then she popped in and they both lectured me with her even telling me I should eat like a rabbit, carrots and veggies... they did not ask what my diet or exercise was and only assumed I came home and ate cakes all day or something. I never went back to them and did not get a new doctor for years. I admit I was sensitive as well but I have a new doctor now and while she doesn’t bs me she isn’t condescending. I have high cholesterol so when she wanted me to get on medication and I wanted to try to lose weight on my own first she encouraged me but also explained the risk And I appreciated that
