Diet 5 days post op-feeling hungry
Letsgetgoing2018 posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi all. Had sleeve done on the 10th. Currently worked my way to protein shake for breakfast along with drinking water all day in small cups. Also eat ice pops and jello. Haven’t tried a second shake for lunch but I’m hungry. Want to try cottage cheese or yogurt. I see my surgeon on Wednesday-will ask if I can progress. Occasionally drink broth. Tolerating everything well. No nausea. Thank god. Anyone else moved to cottage cheese or yogurt already day 5? -

Yogurt and pudding..what stage?
Letsgetgoing2018 posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi all. Five days post op. Been drinking my water ice pops jello. What stage is the yogurt cottage cheese and pudding? -
I was a nervous wreck the night before surgery and finally decided to deep breath and calm down. I had faith in my surgeon and the hospital team who would be working on me. I had done my research on the boards and knew that I would probably be in pain when I came out of surgery but I would have the PCA pump and addl meds if needed. All turned out absolutely fine. I’m post op day five now and doing great. Being nervous is totally normal. Meditate. Deep breathe. Take a walk. This is a glorious new beginning!

Time off for surgery and recovery
Letsgetgoing2018 replied to Kella112's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
What type of surgery will you be having done? Depends on the job requirements you have. You can’t life for several weeks and you truly need rest to recouperate. I had the sleeve done on the 10th and I return to work on the 23rd. I am a registered nurse but work from home on the computer. Wanted to give myself enough time to rest and get into a good drinking pattern. Don’t be in a rush to get back. Listen to your body. Best wishes for a speedy recovery. -

Pain is bearable. Mostly when I attempt to get out of bed. Just have to splint. I hope all of you who are freshly post op are coming along well. Each day is a better day. Stick with the plan. -
