Post op week two-need a buddy

    Harriman-near woodbury commons
  5. Hi all. Post op week two looking for a buddy for mutual support and encouragement. I am doing pretty well as far as fluid intake-on full fluids. Plan to try eggs and some vegetables per my doctor at my one week check up yesterday. I am in New York. Would Iike to meet a buddy who could help encourage me and push me along and vice versa. I have so many questions and seems like there is so much to learn about this losing process after the sleeve. Anyone wanna buddy up?

Post op week two-need a buddy

Yes. I suppose I have tons of buddies! I love these forums. The people on here were kind enough to talk me through my fears about having the surgery when I almost backed out, and helped me through my vomiting as I was planning to be discharged home. So happy I found this site.
  7. Hi all. Had my one week check up today. Down ten pounds, hydrated, doing well pain wise and tolerating liquids plus ice pops cottage cheese and was advised I can now try egg whites and veges. Feels like a victory. One week ago I was on these boards crying and ready to back out of the surgery-terrified. So glad I listened to so many of you and stuck with it. My life is changing for the better already. I wish the same for all of you.
  8. Hi all. Seven days post op. Doing well and had my one week visit with surgeon today. He said I can try egg whites and steamed veges (haven’t yet). Cooked Cornish game hens for the family and want to try a piece but not sure if it’s too soon. Can anyone tell me when I would be ready to try a moist bite of hen?
  9. I have th sleeve done on the 10th. I return to work on the 24th. I work from home at my desk on the computer. Aside from maybe needing to take a nap at lunch I think I’ll be fine. Everyone is different. Major things to remember are things like making sure you don’t get too distracted with work and forget to drink your fluids. That has to come first. No lifting for several weeks. I think two weeks is adequate but again, base it on your type of work and the way you feel after surgery. One week out I feel great aside from some minor sorenesss.

    Using celebrate vitamins-anyone else?

Interesting. Makes sense to keep it original by switching it up often. Lucky you that the warehouse is right near you.
