Hello thank you for responding to my post although I have been struggling I've also been doing research and talking to lots of people and really listening to what they say and trying hard to apply all the rules it seems to me there is a certain combination that you have to figure out I think for me I can't speak for anyone else but Gathering all the advice that I had gathered for me it seems that I was eating too fast drinking while eating and afterwards I also was not measuring my food or journaling my food so I was over eating stretching my stomach and totally unaware of how many carbs sugars and fats that I was eating throughout the day one of the things that has really helps me recently and really shed the pounds is to stop drinking with my food and 30 minutes after also start using a measuring cup and measure out 1 Cup exactly as food protein first eat on a saucer with infant utensils sit down alone and mindful eat and pay attention to my own stomach of feeling full and not eating over 1 Cup also slowing down eating and allow myself to chew and swallow following these few Simple Rules has seemed to help me a lot I hope I've been inspired you to try the same you didn't message me anytime would love to help you and maybe you could help me Sent from my SM-J327T1 using BariatricPal mobile app -

People telling me what to do without had surgery
lisalou1968 replied to Purple girl's topic in The Gals' Room
Was reading your post wanted to say sorry you're going through such a hard time with other people not knowing what you're going through because they're not in your shoes the best thing to do for yourself is not share your private information with them it's none of their business especially if they're not in your corner the less they know the better off you are talk to people that have had the surgery who can support you and give you the advice that you need and let their words go in one ear and out the other don't let them rent space in your head love them but love them from a distance and only let them in your life to a certain extent I've had to learn this the hard way best wishes to you as you know I was sleeved 1 month and 1 week ago it's not an easy battle I am struggling to but getting better each day I'm here if you need to talk just a message away good luck to you and message me anytime[emoji5] Sent from my SM-J327T1 using BariatricPal mobile app -

Wanted to say thank you for your encouragement it's good to know that all is not lost and that my sleeve isn't ruined I have started drinking two shakes a day and eating small soft meals at night very slow with a baby spoon it has seemed to tremendously help me thank you for all your help and your well wishes it's great to have a place to go where other people are willing to help you instead of bass you for your mistakes and or choices but I guess the bottom line is if you learn from it and take the initiative hard work and good choices to turn it around wishing you well 2 thank you again so much[emoji5] [emoji5] Sent from my SM-J327T1 using BariatricPal mobile app -

Yes always number one rule protein first that's why I was saying just continue to sip on your protein shakes while your stomach is still healing and add a little water to hydrate if you can hold it without over feeling your pouch and you are welcome so very welcome anything that I can do to help I know people have been here to help me I don't know where I would be right now if it wasn't for everyone's kind words advice and encouragement Sent from my SM-J327T1 using BariatricPal mobile app -

I just caught my husband cheating on me this past weekend and I moved him out of the house..... dumb me I made too quick of a decision I should have went along with it and played like I didn't know until I could get better prepared financially but I know in the long run I will be okay we may have to struggle. ( my kids and I) but may be going through this weight loss journey and if I lose weight enough to where I could have someone even take a second look at me maybe it's for the best we have lived in the pits of hell for the last 3 years and honestly I don't want to live like that anymore and I don't want to put my kids through it it was a constant battle and struggle everyday he is nothing but an alcoholic and cheater so now with him gone I can focus on me and my weight loss I need this time for me anyways even though it hurts I will be a Survivor along with you guys in this weight loss journey and a survivor getting over a bad marriage Sent from my SM-J327T1 using BariatricPal mobile app -

Also I wanted to say that I'm glad you chose to go ahead and have the sleeve surgery instead of listening to your kidney doctor so what if you do put on a little weight later on down the road losing weight is always healthy even if it is a partial amount of what you needed to lose so keep your chin up I think you made a great decision the nausea won't last that long I'm here for you if you ever want to talk or have questions(((( hugs))))) [emoji3] Sent from my SM-J327T1 using BariatricPal mobile app -

PS by the way I think everyone gains a little late back according to the stories and threads that I've read but that will be later on down the road but your sleeve is your tool and it's with you for life we just need to learn to take care of it and not stretch it out it's just a matter of you learning how to use it I'm learning to but I see what a great tool it is your sleeve is a way to restrict what you eat and drink if you make healthy food choices and listen to your sleeve it will tell you that you are full. Then you're able to put your fork down and walk away and always remember that every day is a new day to make better choices it's a new day to have a fresh start not sure what kind of protein shakes that you're on right now but later on in a couple of weeks when you're ready and feel like that you can't drink another Shake I have some great recipes that are low-fat no carb no sugar no calorie ideas extracts will become your best friend LOL I will be glad to share them with you they have helped me tremendously!!!!!! There comes a time when you don't think that you will be able to take another sip of a protein shake but believe me they will be your best friend and your weight loss Journey especially at the beginning but you have to learn how to change the flavors and so on. Aww what a super sweet post I enjoyed reading it the bracelet part really strung a chord Maybe I should do the same that sounds very encouraging well it looks as though our surgeries are one month apart it looks as if I am a month ahead of you I have so far lost 28 lb not following the rules at all from day one but now after a month and pain in my stomach I have learned that I have to follow the rules not only that the weight is not coming off like I want it to with that said my advice to you is if your surgeon gave you the nausea medicine don't be afraid to use it be gentle on yourself and take it one day at a time I'm looking back over the month I would have followed all the rules keep sipping your protein it is very important and make sure you are getting your proper vitamins take little short walks as much as you can do just don't overdo it if you can fit in a little water it never hurts to help hydrate you one of the hardest lessons I have had to learn is to eat slow of course I know you're not there yet but you will be take very small bites and eat slow it will be a while before your stomach will tell your brain that you are full you will have to learn what your own full feels like you don't ever want to overeat like I did because of my situation I would eat too fast and then once my brain got the signal that I was full I was way over. I was in a lot of pain so eat slow and after you eat 2 oz stop and wait about 15 or 20 minutes be mindful of your stomach and how full feels to you if you feel like you could eat a little more maybe a few more bites but I would never eat over 4 ounces at one time take it from someone who knows I would love to talk to you more maybe we could Converse back and forth I would be more than happy to give you ideas and things that have helped me because I struggled with learning the rules of course it didn't take me long but I am on track now I feel really good and making good choices now best of luck to you and you can send me a message anytime I stay up all night long and sleep half the day LOL[emoji5] [emoji5] if you have any questions for me I would be glad to answer them to the best of my knowledge please feel free to ask[emoji5] Sent from my SM-J327T1 using BariatricPal mobile app -

Omg !!!!!! The pictures you posted are absolutely amazing I just had the gastric sleeve surgery one month ago the scale says I've lost 28 lb but when I look in the mirror I still look the same I am a bit discouraged of course I did get off track yeah I know really early to do that but I guess it happens going through lots of things in my life right now really picked a bad time to have the surgery especially when you're an emotional eater and turn to food to ease the pain I hope that you get back on track you did such an amazing job I am so floored by your pictures you are such an inspiration I hope that I do as good as you did your picture is worth a thousand words and pictures don't lie I would love to be your buddy maybe you could help me to get some of this weight off I am struggling but I want to be able to help you it's just that I'm so new at this but if you need a shoulder to lean on an ear to listen or some encouragement I'm really great at that just think of how well you did before you can do it again you proved it once right I believe in you and I know that once you put your foot forward and just try just a little you can get back in the groove maybe you should just start out with one or two shakes a day as meal replacements and see where that goes would love to hear back from you and talk to you more by the way my name is Lisa((((( hugs))))) I hope we talk again but if not best of luck to you you can do this!!!![emoji3][emoji173][emoji170][emoji171][emoji175]🖤[emoji180][emoji873][emoji174] if you try really hard and 5 or 8 pounds comes off that could be just enough to give you the encouragement and willpower you need to take off the total 50 and just think about how amazing you are going to feel and look all over again you get a chance to use your tool before it gets out of hand start early you've been through this before don't let it get a foothold on you if you do it will be just that much harder to take more weight off!!!! I am cheering for you lillybee[emoji255][emoji890][emoji254][emoji257][emoji258][emoji219][emoji219][emoji219][emoji219], well, the flowers aren't quite lilies but they are supposed to be LOL I was trying to send you some emojis in your name lillybee but they don't have any pictures of lilies LOL and I couldn't find any pom-poms either maybe I will look for you a trophy???
