It is most likely the formation of scar tissue. Sometimes they go away, but not always. I have lots of scar tissue on my abdomen and it is hard, lumpy, and hair will not grow on it anymore...

Being nervous is a natural part of the process. One piece of advice is to ask all of your questions to the anesthesiologist and the team before you go under, even if you have already asked them. You will feel better after you do. I have had four major abdominal surgeries and was put at ease by talking with the anesthesiologist and some of the nurses before I started. This also passes the time between when they start the IV and when you wake up in recovery. You are going to do awesome!

stranger things have happened...

I have officially found a ride for Wednesday in Salt Lake City. I spoke with my friend's son last evening and we worked out the details. Thanks again to everyone for their ideas and suggestions.

So, what you are saying is there's a chance? I did, actually... Thank you for reminding me, I need to update the post.

I would just like someone to like me for me. Everyone I meet is either married, lesbian (is this a convenient excuse?), or just not interested in a large human. I truly hope that I never see any of these women after I meet my goal. I'm afraid that I may say something that is in my best interest to keep to myself. I doubt it will ever happen...

Thanks to everyone for all of the advice & the suggestions. I have found someone to help me out. He is the son of a friend at work. The office is going to let me give his phone number and they will call & verify him. Then, he comes to pick me up after the procedure when he gets off work.

One thing I used to do when I was doing the "Body for Life" plan was to make scrambled eggs using one whole egg and three egg whites. Obviously, it is too much food at one time, but maybe try this and portion it into four meals. Less of the yoke, but some so there is still flavor and a bit of yellow color.
