  2. Three and half weeks out.  I have lost 34 lbs and I have currently hit my first plateau.  I was advised I am eating to little food and currently light headed.  I have no hunger pains.

I see my surgeon on the 11 of august for my two month appointment.  I am fortune enough to have Bariatric counseling three days a week and PT twice a week. I am finding this really helps

That's really rapid weight loss, Joe!

I'm curious, is the 3x week counseling and 2x a week PT part of your program's standard plan, or something you decided on for yourself? My program has optional personal trainer sessions you can buy, and counseling sessions you can purchase as you wish to make appts for. You can also buy extra sessions with the NUT. The one "freebie" we have is the monthly support group sessions.

The two programs are optional, however insurance covers it.

    July Gastric Bypass?

Having my first post op appointment tomorrow July 18. Looking forward to my first weigh in. No major problems other than I started getting hungry yesterday.
  4. One week out July 9 and I am okay. I am not in any pain and I still do not have gas. I am feeling empty and no hunger. I am getting my liquids down. My doctors appointment is on Thursday. The runs have slowed down to once a twice a day. I am doing 30 mins of activity a day due to the neuropathy in my legs I want to try to do more there is nothing stopping me I do not feel anything emotion wise like happiness, second guessing, sadness, full of questions. Some second thoughts as I am realizing the help of the surgery is changing your thought process. I could eat but I can wash it out of my head. I wish I could do this with my legs. I have shown no weight loss as I am not sure of my starting weight. Do use the last doctors appointment, pre surgery weight or post op weight

    The plateaus

My wife had the surgery 9 plus years ago. She was 5ft 1 inch and 250 lbs. She is now 135 lbs. The lowest she hit was 125 the doctor wanted her at 130 lbs he mentioned the 125 was two low. She also was 50 at time of surgery. Don't give up just follow the rules the doctor provided and slowly it will come off.

    July Gastric Bypass?

I started the liquid phase on the 5th. The liquid has not been an issue as I normally drink 64oz. The headaches are there but not enough to stop me. I have no body aches. The hard part is learning to eat 3 ounces of meat and a cup of vegetables and making it last a half hour. I have my first protein shake at 10am, egg beaters at 2PM and a small meal at 7PM. The hunger pains went away yesterday. I hope to keep myself busy today and tomorrow so I can stay full. I am staying around 600 calories a day. I was having stomach trouble so the doctor allowed me a small meal instead of the second protein shake. My anxiety is getting stronger so I am starting to get nasty. The walking has been hard as I have leg pain but I am averaging 2500 steps a day.
